BY the time Jungkook opens his eyes again, the sky is in an orange hue. It must be afternoon already, Jungkook thought. He can hear the muffled busy street noises coming from the window. Taking a peek out the balcony, Jungkook watches the sidewalks that are crowded with people shuffling and making their way home.

Home. A strange word for Jungkook, that is. Not once have he understood completely the idea of home. The home that they say is a place of comfort and warmth. The home that they say is where you can be naked, both emotionally and physically. The home that they say is where you can feel comfortable cooking breakfast in your pajamas.

As if on cue, Jungkook's stomach growls.

He's starving.

He looks around for something to eat until his eyes land on a basket full of fruits placed neatly on the coffee table just across the room. Not a second goes to waste as Jungkook jumps off the bed and makes his way to the sitting area—not forgetting his IV stand, of course. Once again, he caught sight of his reflection on the TV.

He's starving and disgusting.

He definitely needs a shower. So Jungkook goes back to his bed, stared a few seconds at his arm injected IV before realizing he can't simply pull it out by himself. He goes to press the button saying 'call nurse' but before his finger can even touch the button, a knock on the door stops him. What the heck? I haven't even

His thoughts are cut short as another knock on the door calls out to him. He yells a quick 'come in' and it was one of the nurses that visited him earlier that day. The one who choked, Jungkook recalls.

"Good afternoon, Mr. Jeon. How may I help you?"

Jungkook's eyebrows knit together in confusion. "That's weird." He murmurs.

Even weirder for Jungkook, the nurse heard his comment and answers back, "What's weird?"

"No, nothing. It's just. . . I haven't pressed the button yet. . ." His voice trails off as he watches the nurse makes her way to his side. "What are you doing?"

She raises an eyebrow, "You called because you need a shower, correct?" She says as if it's the most obvious thing in the entire world.

"T-That's right, actually. How did you—"

"Let me help you with the IV stand, then." The nurse smiles sweetly, though her smile doesn't touch her eyes as if she's hiding something to herself. "I'm going to close the IV so you'd be able to move without these tubes attached."

Jungkook nods and then stays silent as he watches the nurse adjusts the IV stand beside his hospital bed. She presses buttons on the monitor before seemingly unscrewing the IV tubing. It's right at this moment that Jungkook notices a tattoo. A familiar one.

He thought it must've been from some guy's arm at the bar he usually goes to every weekend. But still, the idea of a nurse having such a visible tattoo is unusually notable—even entertaining—so he decided to bring it up.
