'Wait, you're telling me that I'm a PRINCESS?!' I stared at him in disbelief, then I lost it. I began to laugh way too hard, laughing until I felt pain. Ry sat back on the table, tapping his foot on the floor, impatient and waiting for me to stop.
'Yeah, you're a princess. Or prince, I don't care.' He said, annoyed. 'Take it seriously, would you?' He picked up the nearest piece of paper and threw it at me.
'But there's no more kingdoms in the world! Except for the Queen of England.' It was true, wasn't it?
He looked at me, smiling sheepishly. 'Er, about that. The kingdom you'll inherit isn't technically a kingdom. More of a business.'
'Okay, what kind of business?' I asked.
Ry started to look uncomfortable.
'It's kind of an... illegal business, and your parents run it.' He mumbled.'What do you mean by illegal?'
Ry just sat there in the table, not making eye-contact. It was weird, how he could easily go from being lively to being depressed.
'Um, new topic then. How do you change your gender?'
Ry looked up, pleased with a new topic. I could legit see the colour going back to his face.
'Well, all you have to do is think! That's it. Anytime, anywhere, you could change.' He explained. 'Best not to do it in public though.' He added.
Alright, all I had to do was think. Kinda stupid really. So I sat down on the chair and screwed my eyes shut. Ry snorted at my attempt.
'Take it easy. Don't think too hard.' He advised. 'All you gotta do is think 'Hey, I wanna be a girl. Or boy, whatever. Then BOOM! It works!'
I sneaked a peek at the mirror, a guy stared back at me. 'Huh. It does work. Now what?' It wasn't that big of a deal anymore, changing genders.
Before he could reply, the door swung open, and an older man came in.
