If anyone had told you that the screeching of metal against a smooth surface would be that painful for ears you would have probably laughed. But right now you could totally understand where they were coming from.
The sound made your ears ring and you wouldn't be surprised at all if they started bleeding. Helplessly you held onto the pipe, hoping not to be found by Talon's soldiers.
You weren't sure how you would react if widowmaker found you.....0r what she would do to you.
you probably wouldn't even care. After all you had solemnly come here to see her - a merciless killer who had once spared your life and made you become what you are right now.
Maybe it would be your own stupidity which would make you die but somehow you felt like being killed by her would be an honor.
You could imagine her opening the window and staring down at you with your golden eyes smirking at the sight of you holding helplessly onto that pipe. And imagine her amusement if the pipe would break and you would fall to your death without her doing anything. But maybe that would bore her?
But you wanted to believe- no you believed - that there was something special about her. Something only a few people or maybe only you had seen and noticed. And now that you thought about it you were sure that you were right.
Slowly your ears became used to the sound and you carefully pull yourself up to the window and peak into the room but to your surprise, the people you heard before weren't in the room anymore. All you could see was a sort of metallic chair with many tubes connected to it but apart from that, the room seemed empty.
Curiously you waited a few moments before climbing into the room. Now that you were closely listening for any signs you noticed another presence in your room, but whoever it was their breathing was really shallow. It was so quiet that you almost didn't hear it.
Biting your lip you step closer to the chair already having an assumption about what you would find. Walking around it you are greeted with a sight you were not really surprised about but not happy about either.
There she was - the person you had come for - the famous sniper, who half of the world seemed to be afraid of, was laying here full of needles and strapped to an uncomfortable looking metal chair.
Without thinking you step even closer and put your hand on her cheek. It was cold but if you paid close attention there was a little warmth beneath the skin. Besides that, it seemed as soft as a pile of feathers.
In exactly that moment you did not only realize how greatly she had influenced your life but also that you seemed to have some sort of connection to her.
While you are still thinking about it you failed to notice her eyes opening. There is a small glimmer of surprise in them but it is quickly replaced by a small smile stretching over her face at the sight of you standing next to her.
Not only that but your hand on her cheek felt quite nice. Somehow you were different to her.
It had all started the day she spared your life.....
