Chapter 2

CHAPTER 2- Arriving

The plane ride was long and it made it longer that I had to sit next to an old woman who wouldn't stop telling me how beautiful I was. Sure it was nice... The first couple of times but not when she said it every 5 minutes. Lucas was sitting in front of me and I could tell he was trying to pick up the girl who was sitting beside him. She was a pretty blonde with light blue eyes and nice tan skin. I could tell she wasn't interested in Lucas but he just didn't get the memo. I rolled my eyes and put my earphones in. One Thing by One Direction blasted through the earphones and I closed my eyes waiting for the plane to land. I woke up to soft hands gently shaking me by the shoulders. It was mum. I took the earphones out and smiled.

"Are we in Melbourne now?" I asked jokingly. Mum nodded excitedly and I got up out of my seat. As we walked out of the plane, I yawned and had a big stretch. Lucas was now giving the blonde girl his number before she waved and walked away. I laughed as he walked over to mum and me.

"Did you just seriously give her your number?" I giggled.

"As a matter if fact, I did" he said all smug. Mum looked at him and shook her head. We walked through the airport looking for Aunt Olivia. Mum quickly spotted her at the nearby cafe and she ran over to her for a hug. Lucas and I followed behind slowly and Aunt Olivia embraced us both in a big and very uncomfortable hug.

"I haven't seen you kids since you were tiny! Oh my! Lucas! You've become a bit of a spunk!" she winked "And wow! Lailah! You're absolutely stunning!" she pulled me in for another hug and I smiled awkwardly. A girl around my age stood behind Aunt Olivia. She had brown hair up to her shoulders, hazel eyes and a petite frame. The girl walked up to me and gave me a little hug.

"I'm Tammy. I'm your cousin! I'm so happy to meet you! We're around the same age except you're older than me by a year. We're gonna get along great!" She smiled warmly. I smiled back and nodded.

"I'm Lailah, but everyone calls me Lay" I said.

After everyone greeted each other, Aunt Olivia led us to her car. I sat in between Lucas and Tammy in the back seat and mum sat up the front with Aunt Olivia. They talked the whole way to my aunts house while no one in the backseat talked at all. It was so awkward and I was relieved when the car pulled up into a driveway. We all got out of the car and just as I was about to enter the house, a soft hand grabbed my shoulder ad pulled me back. It was Tammy. I have her a confused look and she smiled.

"Do you know who the Janoskians are?" She asked excitedly.

"Of course I know who they are! Why?" I asked, now curious as to why she would bring it up.

She looked around making sure no one was around as if she was going to tell me a big secret!

"The Brooks brothers, you know, Beau, Jai and Luke? They live in that house over there!" She squealed pointing to a small house at least 3 houses down. My eyes widened in shock!

"The Brooks brothers?! Are you serious?! Oh my God!" I shouted.

"Shhh! Not many people are supposed to know! They'd get a shit load of fans coming around if they knew!" Laughed Tammy. I nodded and quietly jumped up and down. Tammy giggled and we walked into the house.
