The new school year started... My class was expecting a new student. There were many rumors about the student, some say he is from a rich family who had just returned to Singapore after 4 years in the US.
"Class stand" the class president, Michelle, said.
Mrs. Lim, together with a tall thin boy with brown hair walked through the classroom door.
"Good morning Mrs. Lim," The class said
"Good morning class, please take a seat" Mrs. Lim replied
I settled down in my seat, I proceeded to take out the books I needed for the first period...
"Class meet your new classmate Kai." Mrs. Lim said.
The silence in the class soon became noisy as everyone turned to their friends to talk about the new student. As for me, I was shocked... Kai... the boy from ice skating was the new student...
"Hi, I am Kai Liaw. Nice to meet you all, I hope we can become good friends with one another" Kai introduced himself
"Well Kai, take a seat beside Mellory, she will help you settle into your new school, if you have any questions please feel free to ask her." Mrs. Lim instructed.
Kai slowly made his way to the empty seat beside my desk.
"Hi, i am Kai."
"I know" I replied annoyed
"Why so cold? Is it because I have sprayed too much ice at you and you turned so cold?"
"Annoying"
"Hey! I'm trying to be nice here"
"Mhm"
I sounded chill as I talked to him but inside I was freaking out...
"WHAT! HE IS THE NEW STUDENT! GREAT MY LIFE JUST GOT WAYYYY BETTER!"
