"You ready to go Kai?"

"Yeah..."

There was only one person on my mind... The worst part is she doesn't know about it and I didn't get to hug her goodbye...

Somehow I woke up in tears... I did not know why. I ignored the fact that I woke up in tears and continued with my daily life and got ready for school.

The moment I walked into class my eyes fixed on Kai's table, no one was there... It was odd as Kai would usually be there before I arrived at school.

I didn't think much as I thought he was stuck in a traffic jam or he had gotten a flu. Later that day, Mrs. Lim had informed us that Kai had left school to go to China to study and was unsure when he would return, but it would not be anytime soon.

At that moment, it felt like a part of my heart was ripped out... My best friend had left me... And my last words to him was goodbye...

I held my tears in until I got home.Before I knew it I had already broken down in tears... I hated myself for not spending more time with him the last time I was with him. I also realized how much he meant to me, I also didn't get to tell him how I felt...
