*Recess Bell Rings*

I got up from my seat and prepared to meet up with Katie in the canteen. Before I could walk away, I felt someone grab my arm. It was Kai...

"Wait for me."

"Why? I'm meeting someone"

"I'll tag along I don't know this school well"

"Then figure your way around school yourself"

"Teach did say you're supposed to guide me around, I wonder what she would do if I told her you didn't want to."

I did not want a scolding or a questioning from Mrs. Lim so I allowed Kai to tag along.

When we reached the canteen, I spotted a girl with her hair tied up in a ponytail waving at me, it was Katie. I wanted to walk towards her but I was stopped again by Kai.

"I want to buy food first, follow me"

"Argh fine"

After Kai had bought his food we made our way to the table where Katie was sitting at.

"Hey, Mel! Who is this you have here?" Katie asked

"Remember him? Kai..." I replied

"Hi, I'm Kai Liaw," Kai said

"THE KAI LIAW? The famous Kai from the US?" Katie exclaimed

"Lol, what?" Kai replied.

Katie told me how popular Kai had become since he stepped into school, every girl has been talking about how handsome Kai looked.

"OHH WAIT, WHAT? HIM HANDSOME? HAHAHA, no he is very ugly and annoying" I said

Kai turned to me with an irritated expression, "Really? Must you be so mean?"

We all broke into laughter...
