Chapter 1

"Mel! Hurry up we are going to miss our Session!" Katie screamed as she ran to the counter of the ice skating rink. I dragged my tired legs as I followed her. Katie was my best friend since primary 1 and we did everything together. Just before I caught up with Katie, a thin looking guy with brown hair, holding his own pair of ice skates dashed pass me...

"Mel! Hurry!"

I quickly ran to Katie's side.

"I would like 2 admission tickets and 2 skates please," Katie told the guy at the counter of the ice rink. My eyes were locked on the guy that had dashed pass me, he was using the e-kiosk instead of going to the counter.

Katie and I collected our entry tickets and proceeded to enter the rink. We put on our skates and waddled our way to the rink. I did not know how to skate, so I held on to the wall.

It was then that I noticed the boy who had dashed pass me...

He was skating really fast. He did not look like a beginner instead he looked like he was pretty experienced in ice skating.

"Who are you stalking?" Katie asked...

"Huh? What?" I hesitated.

"Awh don't give me that look, I know you were looking at someone"

Katie read me. It was like I was transparent and she could read what was on my mind.

"It's that speed skater isn't it."

"Speed skater?"

"Yeah, Kai that's his name"

Kai... it was a familiar name... I was sure I heard it somewhere before...
