The cold breeze flows through the trees causing some leaves to fall down and land on the grass. Alana's hair blows across her face as she pushes it back for the millionth time. She flips her head forward and using the hair tie from her wrist she ties her hair into a loose pony tail. Her girlfriend, who is sitting beside her, laughs at her frustrations. The two girls are having a picnic in front of the beach. They were going to actually sit on the sand but decided against it and are now sitting on a blanket on the grass under a large tree.

Alycia takes a bite of her sandwich as she pushes her sunglasses further up, staring out at the ocean. Alana can't help but admire her girlfriend. She also can't help but wonder how she got so lucky to have her.

"What?" Alycia asks once she notices Alana is staring. "Do I have something on my face?" She questions and Alana giggles, looking down.

"No" She answers, "I was just admiring your beauty" She shrugs and Alycia blushes, turning her face away so Alana can't see.

"Yeah...Okay"

Alana frowns at her girlfriend. She moves closer so she is sitting in front of her. "Alycia, beauty isn't just on the outside...It is on the inside too. You're the sweetest, kindest, most loyal person I know. You're always there for other people, for me, even when they, or I, don't deserve it. You know exactly what to say to make me feel better. You care about the world.

I love your smile and when you laugh how your eyes crinkle and you throw your head back. I love your eyes and how they sparkle and stand out in moon or daylight. I love your hair, your body, your personality and everything else about you. I love the good and the bad and even when I'm mad at you I still can't help but love you.

Alycia...I love you. I'm in love with you and you're the one for me. You may have not been my first kiss or my first girlfriend or my first love...But I want you to be my last. I don't want anyone else but you. Through the good and the bad"

Alycia laughs slightly as she wipes her tears away. She grins at Alana, and her cheeks slightly hurt from how much she's been smiling, before she leans in and kissing her softly on the lips.

"I love you, Alana Grace Thomas"
