The ambulance comes and puts Maddie and Jack in first and then puts me on the side.
"Hi am I going to be ok?" I ask trying to hold in the tears.
"Yes you will be fine we just have to get the glass out of your foot, maybe get you a bandaid or two then a cast, and send you back to the wisdom games." The emergency response man responds to me as he is evaluating my foot.
"And what about Maddie, and Jack." I say with a serious doubt they are going to fully recover.
"Well, Jack is going to wake up and we are just going to dust the little bits of glass off of his forehead." He says to me with a serious look on his face.
"And what about Maddie, is she going to be ok." I ask trying to sit up on my side bench.
"Well, Maddie, she has a serious wound and something on it and that could get infected. We have the top yep best surgery teams about to work on you foot and Maddie's neck. There is a better chance you will survive than her but you both have higher than a 50%, but she has like a 65% you have about an 85%." He tells me as he is closing the ambulance doors shut.
Next thing I know we reach the hospital and two teams came running out and put us on two different stretchers. I hold Maddie's hand as I tell her she will be ok.
They rush us both into a surgery to to get us ready but there is a wall in between.
"Ok count down from ten for me Leyla." A nurse with a pink outfit instructs me to do
"10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4." I say with my breathing getting heavier each time until it goes dark and I can't see, hear, or feel anything.
I wake up to the sound of doctors into room. Then I see Deven and he is sitting in the waiting room with flowers in his hand. He can't be in my room because if I'm in the wisdom games it automatically prohibits visitors from visiting me, even though he is in the wisdom games with me. Not even my own parents can see me. Then the same nurse who put me to sleep walks in with food.
"Hi, nurse Annabelle, um do you know if Maddie Ballan is out of surgery yet." I ask as I eat my applesauce.
"Not yet, word is that she is almost don't they are just putting her stitches in and-." she says before Chloe comes banging on the glass sliding doors that were temporarily locked because like I mentioned before no one can see you.
*Oh My Gosh can't she just leave me alone.?* I think to myself.
"Do to know her?" the nurse asks me.
I quickly make a pros and cons list in my head to decide whether I should say yes or no.
"Leyla?" she says as she snaps her fingers in my face.
"Oh um no I don't know her but I'm kind of tired so by any chance could you tell her to go away?" I ask not really feeling tired, just annoyed.
"Yeah?" nurse Annabelle says.
She shuts the blinds and now I can't see Deven or Chloe anymore.
I take a quick nap, and wake up to people talking, It's still the nurses they have to stay with me for safety purposes.
"Hi do any of you guys know if Maddie Ballan is out of the room yet?" I asked all three of the nurses.
"Yes she is, she is out, do you want to see her." the other nurse Drew asks.
"Yes please." I say smiling.
"Ok well you can't physically see her but we set up a video chat just between you and her." nurse Jasmine says.
