Take off || Tom Holland

A/N: Hey! Welcome to the first chapter! Just a heads up that this first imagine will be 2-3 chapters long!

Y/N's POV

"British Airways flight, number 9812, to London Heathrow, is now boarding at gate 3..."

I sighed as I sketched one more line on my Spiderman drawing and closed my sketchbook. I reached underneath my seat to grab my rather large backpack and headed towards the gate. I had just finished filming a couple of episodes for a new, upcoming, tv show in LA for a month and was finally on my way back home to London.

As I neared the gate, I slammed into someone and dropped my bag, making some of my items spill out across the floor.

"Shit, sorry!" I said in a rush as I bent down to pick up all of the stray items from the floor.

"No worries!" A male voice replied to me, I could instantly tell, by his accent, that he was from England as well, "It was my fault, I wasn't paying attention."

I saw his hands reach for my open sketchbook and flipped it around to reveal the drawing I had just been working on. I finally looked up and a small gasp escaped my lips when my E/C eyes locked with his.

It can't be.

We stared at each other for what seemed like ages but was only a couple of seconds, before he smiled, his soft brown eyes glittering in a way that made my heart skip a beat.

"So you're a spiderman fan huh?" He said, breaking the silence, a smirk playing on his lips.

"U-uh huh. Y-yeah I am." I stammered back.

"Oh sorry!" He quickly handed me my sketchbook.

"N-n-no, no, it's f-fine." God! I was being so stupid!

"I'm Tom by the way." He held his hand out which I shook.

"Y/N"

He smiled again, a small chuckle leaving his rosy lips.

"Uh I should probably go, I've got to board my flight." He motioned towards the gate I was heading towards and licked his lips. Fuck, the things this boy does to me.

"Yeah, I'm going there as well." I shoved all of my lose belongings into the side pocket of my bag and adjusted the strap on my shoulder.

"Oh! Cool." He mirrors my movements and ran a hand through his brown hair. "Walk with me?"

I felt my cheeks burn up.

"Yeah, sure."

Throughout the whole boarding process, we found out that we were seated right next to each other. I grinned when hearing the news, this meant we had a full, ten hour journey to get to know each other.

"Here, let me help you." He said as he reached for my large bag and lifted it up and into the over-head locker.

"Thanks" I mumbled, ducking my head down to hide the blush that was creeping onto my cheeks.

I sat down in my seat and toed my boots off before grabbing my headphones and sketchbook out of my bag. Finally, I buckled my seatbelt and mentally prepared myself for takeoff. Thank goodness we were sitting in business class, the extra room really helps the  anxiety I get while flying. I was snapped out of my thoughts when I heard Tom plop down onto the seat next to me and role the divider down.
"Hey," his soft voice rang through my ears, "you okay?"
I nodded slightly and kept my head down. My hands gripped onto the arm rests so tightly that my knuckles were turning white. My breath hitched when I felt the plane begin to move, I swear I was shaking by now. No matter how many times I flew, I still got scared during take off, landings were fine, there was just something about take offs that I found highly unsettling.

Just as the plane reached the runway, I felt the warmth of another's hand on top of mine. It was comforting. A small shiver ran up my spine  and I felt myself relax. I looked up through my hair to see Tom looking right back at me, with a worried expression on his face. I took his hand in mine and he gave it a small squeeze. My cheeks heated up and he corners of my mouth lifted.

"Thanks." I mumbled.

"You're going to be fine." He squeezed my hand once more. His other reaching up to cup my cheek. I sighed into the touch.

"I know."
