20.Reunion

After waiting two weeks for Lera to arrive, Arinos had been anxiously waiting for the future queen to be crowned. The coronation had been postponed since the entire royal family wouldn't allow to do so.

They hoped Lera was alright and finally Princess Kisa herself decided to pay a visit to Clarines to check on her younger sister. Despite how Lera had thought of her family and people, they were actually giving a care for her in ways of their own.

Meanwhile, Zen had finally found traces of Lera and her captors. With the help of Obi's vision and knowledge, they found several informers and witnesses. Finally, they were able to locate the mansion where Lera was thought to be captured.

But Zen couldn't just barge in. He needed to think of a plan to safely capture the kidnappers and rescue the kidnapped. Yes, the kidnapped. It had been classified information from the palace but Shirayuki had also been missing.

All due to a man named Kazuki. Apparently, he was the only suspect responsible for Shirayuki's disappearance. Zen wanted to confirm it himself.

On the other hand, Izana had just sent out a search party with him in charge. According to Kinare, he knew approximately where Lera would be. He had learnt about the country's lands after all.

How he wished to say sorry to her and hug her with all her might from the time she had not been with him.

"Lera...." Izana mumbled upon riding on a horse. He gripped the reigns tighter and went faster whilst ordering his followers to do so too.

All were on the edge of exposure and danger. Lera was still trapped with a key that didn't let her out. She hoped to rescue both herself and the red headed maiden sho hadn't be confirmed yet.

So the next day, Lera waited behind the door whilst waiting for Kaine to come give her food as usual. As he entered, she hit him with the vase she held with all her might in order to make him pass out.

Otherwise, it wasn't Kaine who came but Kazuki. The young man immediately passed out due to impact and fell to the floor. Lera took it as her chance and rushed out..

Rushing towards the opposite side of the mansion, she stumbled upon the floor for a while since she felt terrified by what she had just done.

She actually witnessed blood. That was something that was rare for her to see. She had always lived in a peaceful environment where violence and gore were not visible.

She ran long enough and she soon realised her being at her destination whereas the staircase confirmed her. She looked around, searching for rooms which could have been confining the red headed damsel.

I finally found a handful of doors as I turned around the corner. I tried to open one slowly and unfortunately it was locked. I tried the others which also seemed to have been locked.

I sighed. Wasn't there anything I could possibly have done? Yes. I clutched my dress and finally grasped onto the key I had put in there. The key I stole from Kaine. A slight of hope was still existent as I retried all the doors. This time with the key.

It took a certain amount of time. The locks of some doors turned halfway when I tried to open them so I thought it was the 'one'. Until I finally opened a door with ease.

They were probably made with the same material and structural plan. When I finally got into the 'one', I was hoping to see the maiden.

But there was no one in there. Instead, there was a balcony that led to the outside. I quickly rushed to the balcony and found that there was a tree nearby that I could jump off to.

As I was about to go back to search for the maiden, I noticed Kaine came out from the room next to where I was and I quickly ducked and crouched myself on the balcony floor.
