SEUNGMIN took his black jacket, beanie, wallet, phone and room keys before leaving the house. his parents went to daegu a few months ago and his sister is busy with her college which meant he had to be alone on the house.
hyunjin took his gray jacket, mask and phone before leaving the house. he was an only child and his parents are always busy with their business. he had maids so he wasn't totally alone.
hyunjin tried not to make it obvious that he's crying on his way to the café. he was quite known in the city since his parents owned a big company and because he was good-looking and talented.
when seungmin arrived at the café, hyunjin wasn't there yet. well, he wasn't sure actually. he isn't so familiar about hyunjin's face. the only way to know if it's hyunjin is his lips.
seungmin sat on the bench and waited for hyunjin. the night was cold, but he didn't mind it. he wasn't sleepy anyway and he wanted to be with someone at the moment.
"s-seungmin?" someone said his name, making him look up.
"hyunjin?" seungmin asked as he stood up.
hyunjin took of his mask and smiled. his eyes were already puffy, he cried too much.
"are you okay?" seungmin asked hyunjin.
hyunjin shook his head. he began to cry again and he just hugged seungmin even though he was taller than him.
"girls can be like that sometimes. but bro, she's not the only girl in this world." seungmin said.
"she was different. she wasn't anything like the past girls i've dated."
"wait, so you've dated many girls even before ryujin?"
"umm yeah? what do you expect?"
"i thought you only dated ryujin."
"what makes you think?"
"those lips look virgin."
"they are." hyunjin smirked. "you have been looking at them since i arrived."
"i-i don't--"
"no, it's okay. it's getting cold anyway, let's go in?"
seungmin nodded and hyunjin immediately grabbed his wrist and dragged him inside the café. they both took a sear in front of each other and ordered some coffee.
"i'm sorry. i feel like you're just forced to come here." hyunjin said after the atmosphere was getting a little awkward.
"it's okay. i was feeling lonely anyway."
"why?"
"my parents are in daegu and my sister's busy with college so i'm all alone in the house."
"my parents are always busy with work and i don't have any siblings."
"lucky."
"not so, i miss mom and dad so much already."
"why don't you visit them?"
"they're in daegu too and they told me that i shouldn't go."
"oh, are you going there on summer break?"
"yup, you?"
"yeah, i'm going there. we should go together, if you want."
"i really need someone to accompany me so, sure."
"and i thought you had maids?"
"they're boring as usual. you don't seem like a boring person, are you?"
"i could be boring if you wanna."
"please don't be." hyunjin pouted.
seungmin felt his cheeks heat up. he covers his cheeks with his left hand then lightly slaps hyunjin's hand, telling him to stop pouting. hyunjin smiled at him teasingly.
"you think i'm cute, don't you?"
"n-no, i mean-- hyunjin!!"
hyunjin laughed. "you're inner gay is showing up, bro."
"i'm aware of that. but hey, everyone has an inner gay inside them. maybe even you do."
"yeah, maybe." hyunjin said as he smiled before sipping his coffee mug.
seungmin took out his phone to take a look at the time. it was already twelve midnight, but he didn't care honestly.
he liked spending time with hyunjin already even if this was their first time talking to each other. it wasn't so awkward anyway, they felt comfortable with each other.
seungmin didn't like coffee so much since he thought that he was too young but he had to drink a little caffeine.
"you don't like coffee, do you?" hyunjin asked seungmin after seungmin took a little sip of the coffee.
"i am not used to drinking coffee to be honest. but what made you think so?"
"your face after sipping the coffee looked like.."
"disgusted?"
"yeah." hyunjin said as he giggled. "you study at sopa?"
"no, at cheongdam."
"that's too bad, but that doesn't mean we can't hang out, right?"
"right."
"you aren't sleepy yet?" hyunjin placed down his empty coffee mug and stood up. he peeked at seungmin's coffee mug and saw that only half of the coffee was drank.
"nope, i could stay up all night long. there aren't any classes tomorrow anyway."
"that's great." hyunjin grabbed seungmin's hand and dragged him out of the café.
the night's cold breeze met their bare skin when they opened the door. nights at seoul are always like this and the two boys were already used to it.
the moon was shining bright and the street lights made the night brighter. the stars were twinkling brightly, but seungmin thought hyunjin's eyes shone brighter in the dark.
hyunjin and seungmin were now walking on the sidewalk to somewhere seungmin had no idea at all. but he already trusted hyunjin.
"are we going to the park?" seungmin asked once he saw the familiar road.
"yup." hyunjin said. he was still holding seungmin's hand.
when they arrived at the park, seungmin ran to the swing. he sat down and pushed himself using his feet.
"you like the swings?" hyunjin asked seungmin as he lightly pushed him.
"umm yeah, i used to ride them a lot when i was a little kid."
"i liked the slides actually."
"anyway, how long are we going to stay here?"
"are you okay with staying here until the sun rises?"
"i don't care, as long as you're here."
