"Ninja you are staring at me. Please return to your meditation at once." The Nomicon scolded, hitting his student lightly on the head as he continued to walk around him. The young Ninja rubbed his head giving his teacher a small pout through his mask but closed his eyes nonetheless and went back to meditating. Nomi and his student were in their usual Saturday night training sections. They had been doing their usual self defense training fights like they usually would but today however his student had been very unfocused, tripping over rocks, failing to block punches, and so on and so on. Nomi had grown impatient with him so he forced his student to meditate to gain a hold of himself.
"I'm sorry, I promise I'll do better this time! I swear!" He had said, for the one billion time that day.
"No, you are unfocused. Sit down, and meditate." Was all he said crossing his arms and glaring at him through his mask, and that's how they were now here sitting in the middle of the school's courtyard meditating.
"Are we done yet?" The Ninja asked peeking an eye open, snapping the Nomicon out of his thoughts.
"No, continue."
Even though this ninja wasn't one of the most stressful ninjas he has ever had in his years, he had to admit, this ninja was very different from the rest of his past students. He was a diamond in the rough, and Nomi could see much potential in him.
Nomi let out a small sigh, and looked back down at his student, who was still staring at him and not meditating. Nomi was about to scold him but his words soon died in his mouth as he notice for the first time something he hadn't noticed before. Nomi noticed that this ninja was his first student to ever have blue eyes. All his past students had either brown or black eyes. They were all dull and bland much like his own. But not this one. This student had shocking electric blue eyes that were so bright he could be spot with just that. His eyes reminded him of Randy's. He wondered if this ninja knew about Randall, he couldn't ask or else his identity would be discovered but just imagining the two meeting each other would be one hilarious sight.
"What's so funny?" The ninja asked. Nomi looked down at his student who was again, staring at him.
"What on earth are you talking about?" Nomi could see the ninja chuckling.
"You were just laughing a few seconds ago, whos the unfocused one now?" The ninja mocked mimicking the actions he did when he said that himself.
"Well at least I'm not the one who is acting like a lovesick fool." The Nomicon smirked seeing the smallest hint of blush that was being shown by the small bits of cheek the mask wasn't hiding. The ninja began to ramble nonsense about how he didn't know what he was talking about and how he wasn't in love.
"Ninja. Everyone knows that one's most weakest blind spot is their emotions, especially love. One can use it, take it, and rip it apart leaving you with nothing but an empty shell of yourself." Nomi simply stated, hoping it would go into that boy's thick skull.
"Yeah but love can be beautiful, you know. Haven't you ever loved somebody?"
Nomi stopped for a moment, repeating those words in his head. Haven't you ever loved somebody? Of course he had...kinda, that was the damn bloody reason he was here! Because he gave into love, and love betrayed him.
"I did, but that is not the point-"
"Oh! Tell me! Tell me!" The ninja interrupted, "Come on, if you want me to learn then tell me about it come on!" His student jumped up and down eagerly. Nomi debated whether or not he should tell his student, it would be a very valuable lesson for him. It would be tough, very tough, he hadn't thought about love for so many decades.
