She bent down and tripped the wires so the alarms wouldn't go off. "Go!" She whispered as he walked quietly into the store. He ran in with the bag and grabbed everything they needed to last the night. Bread, water, and a blanket. He ran out while she put the wires back into place.

They were on the run, but it was for all the right reasons. Everything they did was illegal, but it was to stay alive.

They ran out the door and onto the side walk as if nothing happened. They walked until they got to Ashton's beat up truck. It was scratched dented and had no license plate so they couldn't be tracked. The daily routine of putting down the seats and making a bed in the back was performed and she made a spot to lay in the back while Ashton got in the front and stepped on the gas and started on the highway to another small town to hide in. Even if it was just for the night.

"Elissa. Elissa." He said while trying to pay attention to the road.

"What?" She said back with a hoarse voice from just waking up. "Shit. You weren't supposed to let me sleep. Ash I was going to drive for a while." She said while making it to the front seat.

"Babe it's okay. I'm not that tired. I'll let you drive tomorrow night while I sleep." He said while taking her hand and kissing it.

"Yeah yeah. That's what you always say." She said while squeezing his hand shortly and started to move her fingers along the spaces between his.

"Elissa." He said sweetly.

"Yeah Ash." She said as she started to fall asleep again.

"I love you a lot." He said. She just smile knowing she couldn't say it back. Not until they were safe.

"I know baby. I know." She said quietly as she feel right back to sleep with her finger intertwined with Ashton's as the music played softly in the background with Ashton humming slightly along while his fingers drummed quietly on the steering wheel to the beat of the old love song.
