"What are you looking at?" Ashton said to the boy that was looking at me in chemistry class.

"Dude no need to get protective over your girlfriend. She's just hot." the kid said while rolling his eyes.

"She isn't my girlfriend." Ashton mumbled while scooting away from me not wanting to start any rumors.

After class I ran up to Ashton to thank him.

"No problem. The kids a creep." Ashton said while opening up his locker and placing his chem book in it.

"Well thank you." I said again while walking away from him and looking over my shoulder and waving one last time.

"Anytime." He called across the crowded hallways.

-

Suddenly I was back in reality. I opened my eyes to realize I was still seated in Ashtons car only it was dark out. I felt Ashtons hand moved within mine. "Elissa, you okay? You have a death grip right now." Ashton said while looking at me through his peripheral vision trying to keep his eyes on the road.

"Yeah. Just a bad dream." I said not wanting to worry him about past memories that have us where we are.

"So, I was thinking that maybe we could go into that store over there and get some snacks. I'm starving." Ashton said while putting his right blinker on not waiting for my answer.

"Yeah." I said, still not fully recovered from the dream. We walked into the store and Ashton slipped into the back while I scanned the front making it look like I was interested in the ninety nine cent candy in front of me. Ashton and I have mastered this, making it easy to steal anything out of a store. I grabbed a bar looking back at Ashton checking to see if he was ready to leave. He gave me the look and I went for the cashier. I placed the candy bar on the table and pretended to search my bag for my wallet.

"Shoot, I think I forgot my wallet in my truck. Ill be right back." I said as Ashton sneaked out the door while I placed my bag on the counter standing in front of the cashier checking my bag once more. "Oh, look I found it." I said as Ashton made it to the car with food worth lots more than the dollar I was paying. "Thank you so much." I said with a smile as I walked out of the store and hopped into the car with Ashton.

"So what did you get today?" I asked as he pulled out snacks for us.

"The usual." He answered shrugging grabbing the candy bar out of my hand and took half. "Are we ready to sleep?" He asked while putting the car into reverse and pulled out of the parking lot.

"Sure, want to go find a deserted street so we both can sleep or do you want me to drive?" I asked while finishing off my side of the bar.

"We can both sleep." He said while pulling onto a dead end street with woods at the end.

"Here, its warm out, we can sleep in the bed of the truck." He said while jumping out of his side of the car and meeting me at the back as we placed the blankets and pillows into a makeshift bed.

We were laying in the back of the truck for a while when Ashton rolled from his back to his side to look at me. "If you look directly up the big dipper is right there." He said while pointing with his right hand to indicate my eyes in the correct direction. "And over there, is the Pegasus." He said pointing a little to the right. I looked up at the stars again but felt that he was not looking at the stars any more. I turned my head to the right to look into his eyes.

"Ashton, I know, you tell me everytime we lay in the back of your truck." I said while resting my nose against his.

" I just like to see you look at the stars. We don't live the typical teenage lives, but one thing that does stay constant is the stars and I like knowing that will never change." He said while rubbing his nose against mine. "Such a cheeseball." I whispering as our lips closed together. He lightly kissed me while flipping us over so that he was laying on top of me. He continued to kiss me when suddenly I heard a cop car. Ashton immediately sat up and kneeled with a leg on each side of my body. He looked over the hood of the truck to see the cops speed by the street we were parked on.

"I nearly had a heart attack." Ashton breathed as he lowered himself to my lips again. "Well the night is still young." And I giggled actually feeling good for once in a long time.
