I knew she would freak out. Today is visiting day for my friends and family, and Amanda is the first to show up. She tries to stay strong as she walks into my room. I nod my head at her and she begins to cry. Harry had told me that when Amanda found out about the accident, she had fainted. After she cries herself out in front of me, Manda stands and fidgets with her hands. I could tell that she was feeling a bit awkward. Mandaaa talk to me please.

“Lina, I’m so sorry. I wish you didn’t have to go through this.”

I tip my head and she smiles. She talks to me for a little and learns how to communicate with me through the whiteboard. She spends the day going in and out between my room and the waiting room with the boys. It's really sweet that she spends a lot of time with Niall, which took his mind off of things. Later in the day, the band swings by. Olly and Josh are really happy to see me and are really sweet. They brought flowers that are set in a vase next to all the ones brought by fans. Finally, my parents arrive.

They come in with Harry and my dad smiles, “Hi sweetie, sorry we’re late. How are you feeling?”

I smile in response.

“Good,” he sighs, “This has been a crazy week for you. Glad your okay.”

My dad’s always cheery, and I’m glad to see someone who isn’t crying his or her eyes out. My mom on the other hand, is a teary one. She stands at the foot of my bed and sobs as heavy tears fall down her face. “This is horrible.”

Harry gives me an uncomfortable look and I frown. Harry turns to her and I see the pain in his eyes as he says the next few words.

“I’m sorry Mrs. Anderson, it was my fault.”

He doesn’t even look at me as my parents turn to face him. My mom looks like she’s about to hit him. Oh my god. Why would he say that!

My dad looks at him, “What-“

“I’m the one who was driving the car. I’m the one who didn’t see it. It should have been me, not her.”

I want to kill myself for not being able to stop him from saying this. God. The look on his face. He looks so torn up it’s unbelievable. I try to get everyone’s attention by nodding my head but no one is looking at me. Ughhhh. They continue to ignore me and I grimace as Harry continues.

“She doesn’t deserve this. I do. For taking us out in that car.”

My parents are gaping at him. I can’t take this anymore. He can’t blame himself like this. SOMEBODY LOOK AT ME! Finally the frustration takes over, and I focus hard. I use all my strength to slowly lift my right hand and look for something to get their attention. I look at the table next to me and do the first thing that comes to mind; I bang my hand on the table.

A small noise escapes my mouth as the sharp pain electrifies through my arm, and everyone turns to look at me. It’s worth the pain, to stop this from happening. Harry runs over and delicately lifts my arm, putting it back on the bed. He looks so worried and then a smile forms on his face. “Alina! You just moved!”

He kisses me and we smile at each other. I didn’t even realize it. I just wanted to get their attention.

Harry and I spend the rest of the day testing my strength. I’m majorly sore, so every move is painful, but I begin get used to it. That one action I made when my parents were here, opened up my entire body to me. We started with my arms. Harry would help me lift them gently and I would focus hard to pick them up further. Next were my legs, and we did the same thing, promising to save trying to walk for later. Last, is my abdomen.
