Chapter 18

~While Dean was hunting~
Sam's POV
After Dean left I decided to go downstairs and see what Cas was up to.

I was walking downstairs and I saw him sitting on the couch. I walked up to him and sat down next to him.

"Sup, Cas." I said.

"Hey, where's Dean?" He asked.

"He's studying a book on math." I lied.

"Cool, maybe I can help him. I'm really good in math. I kind of have to be anyway because of the job that I already have planned out for me." He explained.

"Oh no, it's ok. Dean hates it when people interrupt him when he's studying for something." I explained.

"Oh, ok." He said.

We sat in silence for a few minutes before I spoke again.

"Hey, how long have you and Gabriel known each other?" I asked.

"10 years, why?" He asked.

"Has Gabriel told you if he likes anyone?" I asked.

He looks at me and smirks.

"And why would you like to know if he did?" He smirks.

I was about to answer when I heard the doorbell ring. I got up and answered it. It was Gabe and I started getting nervous.

"Oh hey, Sam." He said and gave me a small smile.

I smiled back and stepped out of the way to let him in.

"Well, speak of the devil." Cas said and gave Gabe a hug.

(How ironic, haha.)

Gabe laughed lightly.

"Well, I need to get something from my room and I'll be back." Cas said and went upstairs.

Dammit Cas!

"I just came over to see how you were doing. You weren't at school today so I thought your might've been sick or something." He explained.

"Oh no, I'm ok. I just didn't really feel like going to school today." I explained.

"Is someone bullying you again? Cause if someone is, you have Cas, Dean, and me. We'll take care of them for you." He said and smiled.

"I got some killer fighting skills." He chuckled.

I chuckled a bit as well.

"Hey, do you want to hang out Saturday? Maybe we could go to the movies or something." He asked.

I got so excited but I knew I needed to keep my cool and not freak out.

"Well, I'll have to ask Dean first but sure. What time do you want to hang out?" I asked.

"Well, I got some stuff to do in the morning but I'll be free around 12:00. I'll just call you when I'm ready to hang out." He said.

"Alright." I said.

"Where's Cas? He's been gone for a while now." I asked.

"Yeah, he has been for quite a while."

Cas' POV
Haha, this is great. Now Gabe and Sam can finally talk to each other.

I go upstairs and checks the library to see how Dean is doing but then I hear a loud noise coming from inside the library. I go inside and see Dean with a couple of books around him.

A/N: Ok, I know I changed a couple of things but this is a more interesting line of events that happened. Shoot me for wanting to make a fun and interesting chapter.

Anyway, back to the story.

"Dean, are you ok? What happened?" I asked.

"I'm fine. I was just trying to reach a book but I couldn't reach it. Guess I was too short." He chuckled.

I chuckled as well.

"So, what kind of math were you studying?" I asked.

"Huh?" He asked

"Oh yeah, I was studying trigonometry and calculus. Those are the only two I really need help in." He explained.

"I see. What book were you reaching for?" I asked.

"Oh, I was done studying so I just wanted to read another book. It was Shakespeare. I like Shakespeare, he was cool." He smiled.

I nodded.

"Nice." I said.

"So, I did something for your brother. Gabriel came over and now the two of them are alone together." I explained.

He playfully hit my arm and gasped.

"Oh my god, Cas. How could you? He's probably scared to death right now." He laughed. I laughed as well.

"I think it's a good experience for your brother to finally talk to Gabe." I said.

"Yeah, true." He smiled.

"Well, you wanna go downstairs now? They've been down there alone for a while now." I said.

"Sure." He said.

So, we went downstairs and hung out with Gabe and Sam. Gabe and Dean would sometimes exchange glances but I didn't think anything of it.
