Daniel's POV

"Hey Joey," I say jogging down the school halls to catch up with him. I guess I scared him because it sends his books flying to the floor. He chuckles and leans down as well as I to pick up his scattered stuff.

"Sorry Joey," I say with a smile on my face. He looks up at me with a smile on his face and looks straight into my eyes. He then flushes a bright red color and looks back down to his books.

"Its okay. So what did ya want to ask?" Joey asks collecting his last paper.

"I was wondering if you wanted to stay tonight? My moms making your favorite and I thought it would be convenient," I say with a small blush.

Joey Graceffa and I have been best friends since fourth grade. We have been through everything together and are always there for each other. But things got a little awkward after ninth grade after a game of seven minutes in heaven. Not going to go into details but lets just say we kissed and I think we both liked each other at the time.

I don't know if he likes me anymore, but I sure as hell still like him. That was in ninth grade, now were in tenth. We are still best friends, but it can be a bit awkward at times.

We both stand up and bump heads causing us both to start laughing. Him laughing makes butterflies form in my stomach. His golden locks and gorgeous green eyes are perfect like the rest of him. I mean if your best friend looked like this wouldn't you be a bit in love?

"Yeah that would be great! I'll be there  at about five?" Joey asks with a smile. That damn smile. (A:N\\ Anyone get this reference?)

"Ok yeah that's good. See ya then," I say parting my ways with the perfect boy.

"See you then," He says opening the door to his class, as I make my way to mine.

Time Skip Because Im Lazy AF

It's four thirty right now and I'm helping my mom make vegan meatloaf for Joey's arrival. Wow. That sounded so formal.

"Hey mom I'm going to go set up the air mattress on the floor. I'll be right back," I explain walking upstairs and pulling the air mattress out from under my bed, plug it in, and let in blow up. Once its finished I put a comforter and it and a pillow and walk back downstairs to help my mother once again.

"Welcome Joey, come on in!" My mother said pushing him in the kitchen where the food was. We all sit down and start to eat the amazing dinner and talk about school, friends, family, and much more.

Once dinner is finished, Joey and I help clean the dishes and my mother sends us upstairs for the night.

"Joey I can sleep on the air mattress and you can sleep on the bed if you want," I say trying to be kind and not weird.

"No thats okay im fine with the air mattress," Joey says a smile not coming off his face since he got here.

"You sure?" I ask, not wanting to be rude. He nods his head happily and takes a seat on the mattress as I sit on the bed.

"So, was dinner okay?" I ask starting a conversation.

"Amazing, you Preda's sure know how to cook," Joey said with a chuckle at the end. I laugh. We talk for another hour before falling into a calming sleep.

I wake up in the middle of the night to Joey sitting up quickly and gasping. I sit up from my bed and look at him worridly.

"Joseph are you okay?" I ask concerned.

"Y-yeah. I j-just had a nightmare, I'm fine," He says turning to his side. But I know Joey better than everyone and after a nightmare that wakes him up, he's never really fine.

"Joey? Do you wanna come up here?" I ask my cheeks turning a cherry red.

"Y-you sure?" Joey stutters. Knew it.

"Of course," I say gaining confidence.

He stands up from his spot on the air mattress and lays down on the bed right next to me facing me.

"Thanks Danny," Joey says with a small smile on his face. I smile at the nickname given to me in fourth grade and hesitantly wrap my arm around his waist. Surprisingly his snuggles agaisnt my chest. I feel his lips curve into a smile.

"No problem Joey," I say falling back to sleep.

I wake up again in the middle of the night from hearing a loud thud in my room. I look around and Joseph isn't anywhere to be seen. I begin to worry.

"Joey?" I ask looking around. I hear a groan.

"Yeah?" He says in a rusty voice. I look off the edge of the bed and there Joey is rubbing the back of his head.

"Joey? What the hell? Did you just fall off the bed?" I ask holding in a laugh.

"Shut up you pig," He laughs and I laugh along with him. I reach my hand down to help him up, but instead of pulling himself up, he pulls me down with him. I fall off the bed on top of Joey but not to where I'm hurting him.

Our laughs fade and turn into short smiles.

He leans in a bit, eyes not moving from his lips.

I lean in a bit, doing the same.

Our lips collide and the butterflies turn to bats as our lips match perfectly.

We pull away and he smiles big at me and I return the smile.

"I've been waiting so long to do that," He explains breathless from the kiss.

"Me too," I reply. I peck his lips again and we talk about things weve never really talked about before. Our feelings for eachother.

And we fell asleep right there on the hard floor, with Joey wrapped in my arms. But it was the most comfortable sleep I had ever had.
