Chapter 8 The Nightly Visit

I had decided that it was a good idea that Gray and I stay in Lucy's cabin for the night. Just, till Connor stopped licking the window trying to get in.

"Why, is he licking the screen?" Lucy asked. "Lucy, does it look like I know or care? I just want him to go away!" Gray walked over to the screen door. Trotting like a baby. She opened the door and Connor bowed to her. She stuck her tongue out and a fly flew through her ears. Connor ran out of the cabin probably in fear of Gray. Then Gray collapsed on the floor.

Lucy and I decided it was a good idea to grab a marker and start drawing things on her.

"Haha," We laughed.

"Lucy," I said calmingly, "why am I here, what is purpose here. Why do I feel different from Gray and everyone else?"

"Well, I don't know why you are here or what the purpose is, I haven't talked to my mother in a while to catch up on the Olympian gossip. (Lucy is in contact with her mother, so they talk a lot) But the way you are explaining things to me is that you might be blessed by Pan, somehow.

"Oh, that makes some sense." I looked over at the clock. "Er... Lucy," I said rubbing the back of my neck. "don't you think it's getting a bit late?"

"Yeah," she yawned. "I'm starting to get a bit tired, I am going to hit the hay." "Ok, Lucy, Goodnight I will see you in the morning." I replied.

I decided to go outside that's why I wanted Lucy to go to bed.

Lucky for me Lucy's cabin has a deck with two beach chairs on it. I sat down on the first chair I saw. I was listening to the sounds of the nature. Reaching the Peace of my day, under all of this drama. As soon as I started to fall asleep.

I heard a howl, that instantly woke me awake. I went toward the howl from where I heard it. It came from the bush Connor was hiding in. Idiot, I thought to myself.
I started looking through the bushes. Then all of the sudden a she wolf came out of the bush.

Hello, Lexus, I have been awaiting for you to find me. I have needed a chat with you for quite some time now. Every night I would howl to see if you would come to see me, and now you are here right before my very eyes. The wolf said.

Umm, wolf person, What do you need to talk about? I asked.

My dear, I don't need to talk about anything. I have a gift for you. She announced.

A wolf pup tumbled out from behind her landing on her belly.

A gift, for a truly strong and powerful, Demigod.

She then disappeared leaving me with a puppy and a confused brain.

I then went straight to sleep leaving the puppy all wrapped up warm in a blanket.
