Kabir stepped out from the bathroom. As he wiped his face with the hand towel he heard Naren's laughter. He smiled and looked up. Naren was sitting on the bed and watching an animated movie.
'Hahaha, wow.' Naren commented clapping his hand. Kabir walked up to the bed and lay beside his son. He propped on his elbow and looked at him. He was so engrossed in watching the movie that he didn't look back at his father.
'What are you watching, son?' Kabir asked. Naren turned his head and looked at his father with big eyes.
'Boss baby.' He replied, excitedly.
'Wow! Very good.' Kabir patted his head.
His smile faded when he noticed his little boy frown.
'What happened, champ?' He asked looking seriously at his son. Naren looked away momentarily before looking back at his father.
'Papa. I don't want a baby brother.' He shook his head and then looked at him with fearful eyes. Kabir chuckled and held his arm. Naren screamed as he pulled him closer. The kid relaxed only when he made him sit on his lap.
'You are just three, Naren. Are you understanding what they are saying?' Kabir asked with an amused smile.
Naren shook his head, - 'But they are acting funny.' He replied and buried his head into his father's chest. Kabir wrapped his arms around him and pulled him closer.
'Naren.' Kavita called sternly. The father-son duo looked up at her. She had just entered carrying a glass of water.
'Stop troubling your father and go to sleep.' She said as she walked towards them.
'Come on, Kavita. Let him be.' – Kabir protested as Kavita placed the glass of water on the bedside table, - 'I want to spend some time with him.' He said.
Kavita sighed covering the glass with a lid, - 'Okay.'
'Yaaayyy!' Naren and Kabir said in unison. Kabir tilted his head and raised his palm. Naren did a hi-fi.
Kavita got her nightie and went into the bathroom. By the time she came out both her husband and son were engrossed in the TV. She smiled. Looking at them, she felt her eyes moist with happy tears.
Over the years, Kabir has become slightly better. Like she had expected he has begun giving them little more time than before. Perhaps, it is his fatherly love. Kavita also felt bad that he is spending more time at home only because of Naren. She feared he might be losing interest in her. But with Naren, she was seeing hope. A hope of getting her husband all to herself.

Later in the night, Kavita was in her study and writing in her diary. Suddenly, she felt Kabir wrap his arms around her shoulder.
'What is my love writing?' He asked touching his cheek with hers. Kavita blushed and forwarded the diary to him.
'See.'
Kabir picked it up and straightened. He read her diary. She was in chapter ten of a romance novel. He looked at her and smiled.
'Your hero is so perfect.' Kabir commented. Kavita nodded and stood up. She wrapped her arms around his neck and gazed into his eyes.
'He is inspired by you.' She said confidently. Kabir raised his eyebrow.
'But I am not perfect.'
Kavita smiled lowering her gaze briefly and then looked up into his eyes again, - 'To me you are.' She replied. Staring into her eyes and sensing her confidence, Kabir felt uneasy. But he pushed aside the thought. Kavita gasped as he scooped her up in his arms. Kabir chuckled looking at her aghast expressions.
'Come on, give some time to your prince charming as well.' He grinned at her. Kavita blushed and hid her face in his chest. She smiled widely as Kabir carried her out of the study room.

Next morning, Eshaan was excited about the meeting. He will be heading the meeting with his team members. He loves his job and the meetings even more.
'Shalini! One cup coffee.' He said brightly to the young girl behind the counter in the cafeteria. The girl smiled nodding her head, she was about to turn when someone interrupted her.
'Make that two.'
Eshaan turned his head and rolled his eyes on seeing Monica beside him. She kept looking front. He looked away and watched Shalini but also felt uneasy with Monica standing next to him. He can't tolerate her anywhere near him. Accidentally, he looked at her and noted her dressed in an off-shoulder peach top and white skirt that reached till her mid-thigh. She had matched her dress with white ankle length boots. She turned her head and caught Eshaan. Quickly, he looked away.
'Please hurry, Shalini.' He spoke agitated and began tapping his fingers on the counter. Monica rolled her eyes and looked away. She fidgeted with her sunglass for a moment before twisting little. She stuffed her sunglasses into her white casual bag.
Eshaan looked at her momentarily and looked away again. He wondered why she was here? Then a thought came to his mind.
She and Kabir don't leave each other even in the office – He thought and shot a disgusting look at her and looked back at Shalini. He was relieved when the girl forwarded him the paper cup. But before he could take it, Monica grabbed it.
'Hey!' Eshaan protested. Monica smirked. It is very, very rare for Eshaan to talk to her directly.
'I am in a hurry, Ranawat.' She replied haughtily. Then, she turned to face Shalini and slammed the money on the counter. She looked snootily at Eshaan, who kept making a face. Then she turned around and walked away. Eshaan watched her go, all the while kept muttering curses at her.
