Kavita ran through the corridor. Her heart beating rapidly inside her chest, her palms and forehead sweating profusely. Because of tears her vision was blinded as well but she couldn't care a less and continued to rush. She stopped by the ICU and was about to enter when the door opened, and a middle-aged doctor stepped out.

'Doctor,' – She huffed, - 'Where-is-my-husband?' She could barely speak as her breathing was rapid. The doctor looked confused for a moment and then asked with uncertainty.

'Are you Mr. Kabir Singhal's wife?'

Kavita nodded. 'Kavita Singhal.' She cried. Tears kept flowing down her eyes. Her heart raced as the Doctor's expressions turned grim and he shook his head. He sighed looking up at her.

'Mr. Singhal's condition is very bad. We have operated on him but there has been a lot of blood loss. We need to operate him again, there is still internal bleeding in his intestine area.' The doctor informed. Kavita felt her head spin with the news. She held the side of her head and gasped.

Slowly, she looked up at the door and gulped a tight lump in her throat, - 'Will my husband recover?' She asked and held her breath as she anticipated for the answer. The doctor sighed.

'Chances are very less, Mrs. Singhal.' – Kavita let out a small cry, - 'But we will try our best, just be strong Mrs. Singhal.' He said patting her shoulder. Then, he walked away. Kavita stumbled back and hit the wall. She couldn't believe that just in one night everything changed, her life shattered. She wiped her tears on her chin and cheek with her saree's Pallu, but fresh tears pooled instantly in her eyes. She placed one palm on her chest and covered her mouth with the other. She squeezed her eyes shut letting more tears fall.

Eshaan was working in his cabin when someone knocked at the door.

'Come in.' He replied not looking up from his laptop. The door opened and Karishma entered the cabin.

'Eshaan,' – He looked up from his laptop, - 'Kabir sir hasn't arrived yet and nor did our model. We are getting late for the shoot.' She informed. Eshaan frowned.

Why hasn't Kabir and Monica come yet? Are they together? No, Eshaan, no. Just trust her. But then they are missing together? – Eshaan wondered.

'Eshaan?' Karishma called.

Eshaan looked up dazed, Karishma gestured with her hand and raised her chin. He shook his head and said, - 'I will call up, Monica and ask where she is. You check on Kabir.'

Karishma nodded and walked out of the cabin. After she had left, Eshaan picked up his phone. He hovered his thumb over her name on the screen and took a moment to decide, then he clicked on her name. Slowly, he brought the phone to his ear. Only a few rings later, Monica picked up the call.

'Hello?'

'Monica, where are you? You had started before me.' He asked sternly. Monica sighed.

'I had gone to my apartment. I wanted to check on something.' – She paused and clicked her tongue in agitation, - 'And now, I got stuck in traffic. Will be there in five minutes.' She informed.

Eshaan sighed in relieve, he felt lighter knowing Monica wasn't with Kabir.

'Okay.' He said and then cut the call.

After a while, he got engrossed in his work. Sometime later his phone beeped and he glanced at his phone.

Monica: Reached. I will start the shoot. Please, come.

Eshaan replied, - 'Okay.' And got up from his seat. He picked up the coat from the chair and wore it. Then, he made his way out of the cabin.

He walked into the auditorium where the shoot was going to take place. The art director, Brijesh, and cameraman, Subash, were busy talking something. Eshaan looked around and admired the setting. He found Ramsen sitting in a corner with a small paper-cup and chatting with Rupa, one of Eshaan's team member. The way he was talking, and she was reacting, Eshaan got a hint that they were flirting. He pressed his lips and walked towards Ramsen. He stood in front of the couple and they looked up. Ramsen was startled but managed a smile.

'Where is Monica?' Eshaan asked. Ramsen pointed towards the make-up. As Eshaan looked towards the room, Ramsen eyed him.

Sometime later, the make-up room opened, and Monica stepped out. Eshaan looked at her and smiled to himself. She looked gorgeous in gold sequin midi-dress, the V-neck only slightly deep. She smiled at him and walked towards the camera. This time there is also a video shoot, Eshaan noticed her clenching a paper. As they adjusted the lighting and camera, Monica read her lines.

'Miss. Rai. Okay?'

Monica looked up from the paper and nodded. She adjusted the sleeves of her dress as she handed the paper to the make-up man.

After the video shoot, the director called cut. As everyone dispersed to prepare for the next shoot. Eshaan looked at Monica, he noticed her frown and hold the side of her forehead. He looked at her with concern. She stumbled little and Eshaan hurried to her but before he could reach her, she fell on the floor. Quickly, he kneeled beside her and leaned.

'Monica, Monica.' He patted her cheek, but she seemed to be unconscious. Ramsen ran and stood next to them. He panicked.

'Oh, my, God! Maam? Maam? Sir,' – He held Eshaan's shoulder, - 'Please, let us take her to the hospital. There is one nearby.' Ramsen said in a worried tone. Eshaan looked at her unconscious figure and nodded. In a panic state, he thought it would be wise to take her to the doctor rather than just sprinkle water on her face.

Oh, No!! What happened to Kabir and Monica? Will Kabir survive? Is Monica's condition severe? I am so tensed.
