Going back home the next morning was the only time Troye had ever not wanted a bus ride to end. He hated buses, but short of turning around and going back to camp, a neverending bus ride was the next best thing. He desperately didn't want to go back home, he desperately didn't want to go back to the real world. Things had changed at camp. Everything had changed, and Troye wasn't sure he was ready to deal with the consequences. He didn't want to face his parents. To them, nothing had changed, but Troye knew he might never be able to relax around them again. They would hate him if they knew, who he was, what he'd done. Who he'd done. New gossip had taken the attention of the student body.

He was so concentrative on acting normal he didn't realise until he was lying on the ground that he had run headlong into his maths teacher.

"Fuck!" It slipped out before Troye could think about it, and he immediately clapped a hand over his mouth, jumping awkwardly to his feet.

Ms Jeran. glowered at him, and he shot her an innocent smile, helping her pick up her scattered books.

"SO good to see you again, Ms. Jeran. How were your holidays?" Troye stood up a little straighter. Yes, good job, that was a good line. Look, people are watching and giggling, this is good. I'm totally getting my confidence ba-
