The living room was huge. Breathtaking. Wow. I think the killers, were all rich. Hmm, wonder why? I snorted to myself. Duh, they take their victims money. I scowled at the thought and looked around more.

On the couch, was a short boy, playing video games. He wore a Link outfit, with a tall green hat, bobbing on his head. He looked like… A dark version of Link. His green outfit was sparking clean. He looked pretty normal. He had bright blonde hair, and elfin ears. That was the only odd part about him. Then, he turned around. His eyes were black, except for a red pupil, and blood spilled out of his eyes. It looked as if, he had drowned. His hand glitched, and switched colors for a brief second. I gulped and looked at the boy.

The Elfin boy grinned and stood. Dang, he was shorter than Death, by like… Two feet! His hat dangled off of his head, and his blonde hair hung all in one eye. “Hey! I’m BEN. BEN Drowned.” He picked up my hand and kissed it gently.

My face flushed red, and I stared down at the boy. Wellllll… Wasn’t he quite…

“BEN! You pervert! Leave Natalie alone!” Death growled and slapped the top of his head.

Thank you Death… I said a silent thank you, and looked up at Death with grateful eyes. Death cracked a small smile at me, and then glared at the Link look alike, BEN.

BEN simply grinned at Death. He then turned to look at me. “Sorry! I just think it’s polite to greet girls properly. Especially pretty ones.” He winked at me, and smirked at Death.

My face flushes more, and I shift awkwardly. “Uh… T-Thanks…” I stammer and flash a small smile at BEN.

Death clenches his fists, and glares straight at BEN. He walks up to him, and whispers something into BEN’s ear.

BEN’s eyes widen and he squeaks, running out of the room. “SEE YAH NATALIE!” He yells back at us, and then runs up the stairs.

I raise an eyebrow at Death. “W-What did you do?”

Death snickers and grins widely. “Just told him to scat…With some other words of mine.” He smirks with pride.

I sigh and bite my lip. “Okay then.”

He nods. “Ready for everyone else?”

I exhale and nod.

Death seemed to get irritated by every person but two. Me and his brother, Rein.

Rein was defiantly the most normal person here. Well, as normal as Rein can get. Rein had long black hair like Death, but it was combed neatly, all tucked behind his eyes. He had bright baby blue eyes, that sparkled and he wore a white suit, and a red tie. His shirt was a pale pink, and he had on black boots. He was super nice to me, and his brother. Death joked around with him, and had tons of fun. I loosened up and hung with them for the rest of the day, until we finally had to leave.

“BROOOOOOTHER! THERE YOU ARE!” Rein squeaked as we walked into the room.

My eyes widened at the Angel, and his bright white wings, with two specks of black on them.

Death chuckled softly. “Hello Rein. Were you looking for me?”

The Angel, Rein nodded. His eyes were bright and filled with happiness. He had a slight British accent to his voice. “Yeah! I wanted to see how the whole… Thingy is going! And to meet the new girl here!” Reins gaze turned over to me, and he grinned. “Hello! I’m Rein. You must be Natalie!”

I nodded and smiled softly at Rein. “Yeah.” My stutter was gone… I realized that I was relaxed around these two. A lot relaxed. “Nice to meet you Rein.”

Rein’s grin got bigger. “Nice to meet you too! Can I call you Nat?” He tilted his head.

Death glared at Rein. “Hey! Don’t overload her too much! Keep it down!”

I looked over at Death. “It’s fine. I’m not a porcelain doll. I won’t break.”

Death nodded and huffed slightly. “I know…” He mumbles.

I give a small smile at Death, then turn back to Rein. “And yeah! You can call me Nat. I don’t mind at all.”

Death smiled softly over at Rein and me.

Rein’s face looked like it was going to explode from the smile that stretched up his face. Dang, he sure does get happy easily. “Great! Nat!”

I laughed lightly. “Yeah.”

Death chuckled softly and scuffed his brother’s hair.

Rein sighs heavily. “Alexandru…” He whines.

Alexandru? Death must have seen the confused look on my face. His eyes widened and he glared at Rein.

Rein squeaked nervously.

Then it hit me. That must have been his real name! No one would ever name a child Death, no matter how messed up they were. “Is that your real name?” I blurted out.

Death sighed. “Yes. It is.” He grumbles and looks down. “Stupid name, hmm?”

I frowned at him. “No it’s not. I think it’s a lovely name.”

Death looked up slightly to meet my gaze. “R-Really?” He tilts his head.

I nod and smile. “Yeah! I think it’s really cool.”

He cracked a small, shy smile. “Thank you, Natalie.”

My face tinted pink at his voice, saying my name. Was I…? No, I can’t be in love with Death. I’ve only known him for a day! But, somehow it feels as if, I had known him forever. “Silly Natalie, he would never love a girl like you!” The dark part of my mind hissed. It was right, silly me. A small sigh escaped my lips.

Both Rein, and Death turned to look at me. “You okay?” They both asked.

I nodded. “Yeah… Just stressed, I guess.”

Death looked over at Rein, then me. His eyes softened at the sight of my tired face. I knew it was only three p.m., but I was tired as heck. “Let’s hurry up and meet everyone. Then, I’ll prepare you lunch, then we can go back up to my room, for you to relax. Alright?” He asked softly.

I simply nodded and took a deep breath. I would rather be back in high school, running the mile at this point. And I, hated to run.
