Five years later...
"Where are we going?" Beca asked as she stared out the window of the passenger's side of Chloe's car.
"If I tell you it will ruin the surprise." Chloe giggled. She had something huge planned.
They drove all the way across town to a park in the middle of nowhere. As they pulled up, Beca saw a small blanket laid out in the grass. On the blanket were rose petals and a picnic basket. Next to the basket was a folder.
"What's this?" Beca asked.
"Something special." Chloe grinned. "We've been dating for nine years now and I think it's time I tell you how much you mean to me."
Chloe motion for Beca to sit down with her on the blanket and Beca complied.
"You mean the world to me and although we've had our ups and downs, I still love you beyond words. Every month since the 25th of November 2017 I wrote a letter to you." Chloe said, handing Beca the folder.
Beca skimmed through the letters and felt a tear escape. She looked back up at Chloe and saw her on one knee with a ring in her hand.
"Beca Mitchell, will you marry me?" Chloe asked.
Beca couldn't speak. She had never dreamt this day would come. All Beca could do was shake her head in disbelief.
"Is that even a question?" She managed to say.
"So is that a yes?" Chloe asked.
"Of course I'll marry you!" Beca said, tackling Chloe in a hug and kissing her.
"I love you." Chloe said between kisses.
"I love you more." Beca replied.

Even later...
"How did you meet?" Piper asked.
"Yeah!" Hailey asked. "You've never told us the story!"
"Alright settle down girls." Chloe laughed.
They were eating dinner as a family for the first time in a month. Having four kids who each played a different sport made it tough for the entire family to get together.
After getting married, Beca and Chloe found a spacious house in the suburbs where they planned to raise their family. They had twins, Ivy, who was quiet and very shy, and Maxwell, who was the complete opposite. Then, they had another set of twins, which took them completely by surprise. Hailey and Piper were partners in crime and could not be separated.
"Well there's a reason we've never told you the story." Beca laughed. "Are they ready?"
"I don't know Mom? What do you think Ivy?" Chloe replied. When there was a tough decision the option went to Ivy. She was always the voice of reason.
"Please Ivy!" Piper and Hailey begged.
"I kind of want to hear it too." Ivy admitted.
"Yeah same here!" Max said.
"It all started in middle school." Beca said.
"I was a bully. I thought I could make myself feel better by picking on others." Chloe admitted.
"Really?" The kids said in awe.
"Yes. I was in foster care and felt unloved. A certain girl caught my eye and I thought I could make myself known to her by being mean." Chloe continued.
"Did it work?!" Max asked.
"Well..." Chloe said.
"I definitely knew who she was." Beca said.
"Then, I got adopted by two extraordinary women and they changed me. They loved me and since I felt loved, I no longer felt like I needed to pick on others. When I got to high school, I started flirting with Beca. One thing led to another and here we are!" Chloe said.
"Is that it?" Max asked.
"There's obviously more to the story." Beca said.
"Oh like Maisy!" Chloe teased.
"No! I was thinking Mr Bubbles!" Beca said.
"Who's Maisy?" Piper asked.
"Who's Mr Bubbles?" Hailey asked.
"Maisy was a girl that Beca cheated on me with." Chloe said, giggling.
"Was it Auntie Maisy?" Piper asked.
"Yes." Beca laughed.
"But she's nice!" Hailey said.
"We both made a mistake and it's behind us now. Momma forgave me and now Maisy is just a friend." Beca explained.
"Did Auntie Erin know?!" Piper said.
"They weren't dating at the time. This was way back in 2018." Chloe explained.
"Who is Mr Bubbles then?" Hailey asked.
"He's a fish." Chloe laughed. "It's how I tried to get Mom to go out with me."
"It worked...sort of." Beca replied.
"That it did." Chloe smiled.
