...And here's where the dramama ramama ramamama kicks in... But then bad life choices always make for a good story, right? (Don't worry, I won't make them that bad. *evil smirk*) Who's ready for some plot?
Definitely not me. Wish me luck.
"So..." Jimin runs a hand through his messy hair, his head still spinning from the momentary contact they'd had just a minute ago, "I've been wondering..."
"Yes?" B doesn't bother to look up from her book, although for once she's actually holding it in a position that allows Jimin to see most of her face. As usual, her voice is as soft as a cloud and sends gentle shivers down Jimin's spine.
This is a pretty personal question, and I don't really know her that well yet. Should I wait to ask it, or... But Yoongi really needs his sister, and she's the only person that even slightly resembles Yoongi I've found. Sure, the probability of her actually being his sister is ridiculously low, but it's worth a try, right?
"I-I have a question." Jimin poses hesitantly, gripping his already half-empty coffee tightly with nervousness. B glances up at him before shrugging nonchalantly, her tiny form hidden underneath a baggy grey sweatshirt.
"Then ask."
"It's a pretty personal question." Jimin confesses. B doesn't look up from her book, instead raising a single eyebrow in query.
"So?"
"So you'll answer, even if it's personal?" He asks, apprehensive of her lack of nervousness. Most people detest being asked personal questions. Heck, I don't like being asked personal questions, yet she doesn't seem bothered in the slightest. Makes me wonder just how she became this... disconnected.
"Depends on the question." A smirk creeps onto B's face, and her glinting eyes flicker up to meet Jimin's before resuming their path across the page of her book. Okay, maybe not quite disconnected; more like she's not concerned about what everyone else thinks. I guess it's not really a bad thing... it's just so different. And so much like Suga-hyung.
Jimin sighs, his mind made up.
I guess it's now or never; the sooner the better. If she's the one, Suga's gonna owe me for ages.
"Do you..." Jimin gulps, "Do you have a brother?"
B's eyes stall upon the page, and her eyebrows crease. Slowly, as if caught in slow motion, her gaze travels up to meet Jimin's nervous chocolate eyes. Neither of them move, still as stone statues under the tense aura that now surrounds their little corner. Unblinking, B stares straight at Jimin, and Jimin is barely able to hold her gaze; uncomfortable with the prickling sensation that her soul-searching look gives him.
"I mean, I have a friend that's a lot like you, and I was just wondering if you could possibly be related," Jimin rushes to explain, stumbling over a few words in the process, "I didn't mean to offend you! I was just curious and I needed to ask because-"
"No."
Jimin's mouth freezes; his jaw still open from in the middle of a word. He blinks repeatedly, before focusing in on B's emotionless face.
"Huh?"
"A brother," B restates, her voice completely level, "No; I don't have a brother."
