Lily's POV

We are finally heading back to the castle. I always miss hogwarts over the summer but it feels that I missed it even more this year. I have lots of news to prepare the girls for but that will just have to wait until after the feast as I made headgirl this year. I was in denial for a while but the pin was as real as ever. I wonder who will be head boy with me as most of the guys in my grade still act like 3rd years.

I made it on the train and headed to sit with the Marauders. I started sitting with them after the Snape fiasco. They are actually really fun to be around. They are always cracking jokes and never afraid to speak their minds. I already know what Sirius and Remus did over the summer. Remus has been writing me religiously and they went on a tour of Europe on Sirius' motorcycle. I still cannot believe that Sirius convinced Remus to do something like that but I guess love can change a person. Peter wrote me one letter at the beginning of the holiday saying not to write as he was spending his holidays with a distant elderly relative and he wouldn't have time to respond.

Since Sirius left James during the summer he was alone. James wrote to me everyday at the beginning of the holiday trying to convince me to spend some time with him as he "was going insane with the lack of stunning redheads in his life". So after a particularly nasty fight with Tunney I left mom and dad's house and spent the rest of the holiday with James. Honestly it was the most fun I've ever had during a holiday. James and I got incredibly close. After the incident with Snape he showed me this kinder, more caring side to him.

Well enough reminiscing let's get back to the train ride.

I quickly made my way to the Marauders' cab and sat next to James as it was the only seat left (fairly sure a certain short, black haired beauty planned that out). I didn't mind as Sirius didn't know what happened over the summer. Sirius was quick to start conversation back up as soon as I entered the cab.

"Lilypad how was your summer?"

"Magnificent" I stated back whilst looking at James.

He quickly responded with another question, "What did you do, did you meet a special someone?"

Of course Sirius would bring this up, "I spent my holidays with a certain someone".

James looked at me with shock as I told him earlier this summer I wanted to keep what happened a secret.

Sirius was shocked his mouth was gaping open. Then once his thoughts gradually came back to him he rapidly fired questions at me. "What's his name? Do I know him? Can I meet him? Is he a wizard?"

"Sirius! Calm down, I will answer you, but in due time."

"What the bloody hell does that mean!?!" He shouts.

"It means have patience Sirius" I whipped back sarcastically.

So I prepare to tell the story. "I've actually known him for a long time. He was writing to me everyday at the beginning of the summer begging to see me but after a fight with Tunney I knew I couldn't spend another day with her so I went to his house. It was magnificent Sirius!—"

"What's his name!?!" he rudely interrupted.

"Well I don't want you stalking him so I'm not going to tell you quite yet. " I quipped back.

James looked at me with a very curious smirk across his gorgeous mouth. A mouth that I would love to devour right now but I can't, as for the lovely company we have in our presence. I quickly winked at him to tell him I knew what I was doing while Sirius was discussing the new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor.

Sirius quit talking to Remus and told me to continue on my story.

"Well he's incredible. He's into music so I know you'll like him." I say with a wink.

"He's a prankster, he loves quidditich, he's very versatile on the pitch and watching him play is mesmerizing."

"Good Godric you're hooked" Sirius said.

"He sounds amazing" he said whilst looking curiously at James.

James looks at me and says judgmentally "Wow you finally found yourself a Boyfriend. Is he as pretentious as he sounds?"

I had to hold in my scoff.

"Yes he's an absolute toe rag he's even worse than you. He's cocky and arrogant and has this ridiculous posh attitude and he knows latin because he's a bloody pureblood wizard and honestly I don't even know why he wants me."

"Well whoever the lucky bastard is, he's the lucky one to have you because from the way you described him he probably doesn't deserve you and your beautiful witt," James replied but his message was riddled with deeper meaning.

Sirius rudely interrupts and states, "well what does the bastard look like, can he even compare to James?"

Well he has stunning chocolate brown hair that is loose and messy and yet ever so perfect. His eyes are gorgeous pools of warm milk chocolate that give me butterflies whenever he looks at me and he has this smirk that drives me totally absolutely insane. And his nose is a little crooked from one too many bludgers to the face that make his round glasses fall elegantly down his face."

"Damn" Sirius responded. "It sounds like you are trying to replace my deer deer prongsey"

"Well" I say, trying to avoid the topic, " I need to straighten up so I can go meet the headboy and prepare for the first prefects' meeting of the term."

Sirius chokes on his pumpkin juice and points a deadly stare at James. "Oh I'm sure you'll find out soon enough."

"Why do I feel like you three know something I don't?" I questioned.

"Because deer lilypad we always know something you don't." Sirius replied.

"Except maybe in the world of studies." Remus quipped.
