I love this chapter.  I promise this story isn't all fluff.  The next chapter has some fun Sirius and Lily brother and sisterly angst.  But alas this chapter is one of my favorites (so far) granted I love them all but I don't care.

James POV

Lily and I went over the patrol schedules for the week. We decided to mix the houses for patrols because of the extreme political climate at the moment. Once we finished the schedule for the first term we went over what we wanted to discuss in the meeting.

Once the younger prefects started to come into the cab we took our spots at the head of the cab. Finally everyone had filed in and we could begin the meeting.

"Welcome back everyone!" Lily joyously said.

"We have some adjustments and are just going to go over basic rules and anything else we deem important about this year!"

"Oh I forgot to mention mine and my Head Boy's name though you may already know his. His name is—

"James Potter," I interrupted her.

"And my name is Lily Evans if you didn't already know," she said. "We are your heads this year."

There was grumbling amongst the prefects.

"If you have an issue with a muggleborn being head girl you need to remember blood does not define anything," I stated rather loudly and the prefects quickly quieted down.

"He can't be head boy, he wasn't even a prefect," was heard from the crowd.

"Well James here is your headboy and if you have an issue with it you can take it to Dumbledore" "Now I would like to get on with our meeting. Thank you."

I looked at her with such awe. The way she commanded a room had me gaping like a fish at her in her natural element, leading.

After we discussed all the rules and boring things we got on to the events.

"This year we will be having a Halloween ball as a way for house bonding. James and I have already discussed a possible theme. Masquerade and everyone must dress in another house's color."

There were Oohs and awwws from the crowd and they were very excited.

"The ball is 4th year and up just like the Christmas ball." I added.

"Lily and I will lead the planning but will of course need your guys' help" I stated.

Prefects nodded around the cab.

"Well I believe that is all for today, remember when you have patrols and lead by example. You are all dismissed. Thanks!" Lily ended the meeting.

"That was stunning Lily the way you lead with passion, the look of pride and determination in your eyes it was all unbelievable you were in your natural element." I complimented her.

"Thank you James," she stated breathlessly.

"I swear even when you compliment me you turn me on. How the bloody hell you do that you fucking handsome git." She said while they edged dangerously close together with each other's breath not far from each other's lips.

"Godric, I love it when you swear." I cursed dangerously right before our lips crashed together. Her hands reached up and grabbed my hair and her legs jumped around my waist. My hands went underneath her ass as I backed her against a wall forcing to rely on me and only me.
