Chapter 7

Longer chapter today some fun Lily and Marauders bonding.  I've actually had this scene written out for a while but I needed to get to a point where it made sense and now it does.  Also sorry I don't post super often but I have some fun things planned out.

James POV

I hear Lily's cries. It pains me every time I feel her hand over mine yet I cannot turn it to grasp it back. I hear her voice begging me to come back to her yet I cannot. I hear Sirius' cries of how he cannot lose one of his brothers. I hear the books that Remus reads in whispers to me. I want to sit up and hold them all, tell them I'm right here and never leave them, but I cannot pry my eyes or mouth open to look them in the eyes and tell them.

Lily POV

One week goes by with no movement. I visit him every day before classes, during lunch, and during dinner into the night.

Two weeks go by and there is still no movement. I can't eat anymore. I can't sit in the great hall without him, I can't sit in the heads common room without him. The entire castle is a home to the thousands of memories I've made with him.

Two weeks turns into three. James' parents were told to come to the castle. They found me curled up next to him with my head resting on his chest.

"Hello Lily," Mrs. Potter gently greeted me. I lifted my head to look at her. I realized then I hadn't truly looked at my appearance since the duel.

"Hello Mister and Missus Potter," I greet, wiping my face of tears.

"Oh honey you mustn't call us that any more just call us Mia and Monty," she requested. I just nodded along politely.

"Why don't you freshen up, Thank you for watching over him. We will be at his side until you get back I promise," She nodded politely shooing me out.

I mindlessly walked back to the dorms. I don't know how much longer I can do this. Hiding my relationship with him while trying to be at his side as often as I can. It's nearing impossible.

I took a shower and changed knowing a crying mess was sure to raise suspicions. I walked into the Gryffindor common room to find the Marauders laying on the couch.

"Hey Lilyflower"

"Hi Lily"

"Hey Lily"

Where all heard when I walked in.

"Can I sit?" I questioned.

"Go ahead," Sirius motioned.

I sat in the chair closest to the couch and summoned a cup of tea from the table.

"How are you guys doing with James in the hospital?" I questioned.

"Fine but I miss pulling pranks," Sirius responded. Suddenly a light went off in my head.

"Sirius why don't we pull a prank," I thought out loud.

"How can we pull a prank without James? I'm sorry Lily but James is often the creator of all of the Marauders' famous pranks." He said doubtfully.

"Well you may not have James but I can help." I suggested.

"I'm sorry Lily but aren't you head girl who has gotten straight O's?" He replied.

"Bold of you to assume I haven't pranked before. And Bold of you to assume I haven't pranked you before." I quipped.

"What?!?" he said snapping his head to make direct eye contact with me. "You are saying that you have pranked the marauders without repercussions?" He again quizzed.
