Qin's POV
The warm rays from the Sun glistened when I opened my eyes carefully. It warmed my body from the cold water from before.
What happened earlier on?
I stared up at the unfamiliar beautiful sky. It was all clear and blue, unlike the stormy sky on my wedding day. There was a few stalks of lotus surrounding me and they kept me sheltered from the sun rays.
"You're awake." A cheery voice spoke and my vision changed to see a young boy bending down towards me.
His eyes were slightly yellowish golden and he had these curvy golden lines make up around his face. It was extraterrestrial.
"Who are you?" My voice was soft and weak. It felt like I hadn't spoken for a hundred years. It sounded foreign.
"I'm Ryu, the guardian of the boat. I've been told to pick you up to the palace." Ryu explained as he stared at me in fascination.
"R...Ryu?" A thought striked me hard and I got frightened.
Am I in the Heavens?
"Come on, let me help you out from the pond. It wouldn't be good if you catched a cold." Ryu offered a hand and I struggled to held on to him.
The sight around me was beyond what I've seen. It was a huge lake full of beautiful lotuses and tiny dragonflies flew from one flower to the other. The lake sparkled as the rays of the sun shoned down. It was peaceful and magical.
"Follow me." Ryu instructed as he walked ahead, with me following him behind. We walked along the wooden bridge that led us to an open end.
"How are we going to cross over?" I questioned as the vast blue sky appeared. It seemed so exciting yet fearful, and I doubt it was going to hurt real bad if I fell from such great heights.
"With my boat, of course!" Ryu said in enthusiasm as he waved his finger up in to the air; and pointed towards the sky.
A tiny boat, painted in golden and white colour with a small dragonhead infront appeared at Ryu's command.
I was amazed.
"How did you do that?!"
"Well, I'm the guardian of the boat. I could summon them when I bring travellers and guests across the blue sky. Even though my boat seemed to be very small now, in few years to come I will be as great as my teacher!" Ryu said happily and he got in to the boat.
I cautiously stepped in and it wobbled, causing me to yelped a little as I stumbled.
"Becareful. You may trip and never be alive again." His innocent mouth made those ruthless words sounded as if it doesn't matter if I fall and die from the heights.
"Hold on tight." He warned as he started to paddling the boat.
The sky was huge with nothing but floating clouds to keep me entertained. They felt empty when I reached my hands out to touch them as the fluff of cloud vanished into mist with the wind.
I faced the back of Ryu which his long neatly tied and silky black hair rested against.
"How old are you?" I was curious to how such a young looking boy could control a boat.
"A thousand years old. Well, actually I would be a thousand and one in a month's time to be exact." He said it as if it wasn't a big deal.
"A thousand years old?! Are you serious?!" I couldn't believe what I just heard. How could a young boy be a thousand years old?
