Thankfully Severus had opted for muggle clothing when dressing this morning otherwise he would have drawn much attention from the crowds of people that bustled past him and Helena.

"Severus are you okay?" Helena asked him, she worried that apparation may have harmed his health.

The wizard nodded and kissed her forehead, "I'm fine my love, now please stop worrying about me?"

Helena rolled her eyes at him, "It's my job to worry about you Severus, I am your doctor after all."

Severus just shook his head and lead her over to a clothing store that held many professional and business looking items. They stepped inside and Helena instantly started sorting through racks of clothing, passing clothes to Severus as she went.

Dresses, skirts, tops and pants were all piled in Severus's arms and once Helena was satisfied she walked over to the changing rooms and Severus placed the clothes on the stool inside before stepping out and taking a seat just outside.

For the next twenty minutes Helena tried on clothes and asked for Severus's opinion, he always nodded and smiled. When she was finally done, Helena had decided on all of the items and went to pay for them.

The pair then left the store with bags in all their hands and made their way to a shoe shop down the road where Helena tried on five pairs of shoes and bought them all.

Helena looked down at her watch as she walked alongside her wizard, it was almost noon, "Severus, would you like to stop for lunch shouted by yours truly?"

Severus smiled at her, "I can pay for my own love, but that sounds like a rather grand idea."

The pair crossed the street and made their way to a little café where Severus ordered a pulled pork sandwich with fries, and Helena ordered a salad. They sat down outside and ate in a happy silence, Severus looked at the beautiful woman sitting across from him and vowed to himself that he would make sure he did not ruin things like he did with Lily.

Severus hadn't given Lily much though since the night of the great battle of Hogwarts, and he especially hadn't thought often about her once Helena came into his life. His debt to Lily was paid, he had protected and aided her son in vanquishing Voldemort, and Severus no longer felt that he owed her anything, now he was free to love a woman who returned his feelings and he wouldn't not lose this woman.

Helena looked at Severus whose strong gaze sat upon her and made her stomach squirm, "Have I got something on my face that has you looking at me so intently?" she asked him.

Severus shook his head and broke his stare, "Sorry, I was merely lost in thought."

Helena reached a hand across the table and took hold of his, "You're starting to look worn out, I think it's time to return to Hogwarts," she said as she stood up and picked up her purchases.

Severus nodded and carefully stood up to avoid pulling his weakened muscles, and he muffled a yawn which did not go unnoticed by Helena who reached for Severus hand and apparated them back to Hogsmeade where they then slowly walked back to Hogwarts.

When they arrived back at Severus's chambers, Severus kissed Helena goodbye and entered his chambers for a nap. Although Severus looked a lot healthier than he did when Helena had first arrived, his body was rapidly succumbing to the poison that flowed through his blood and they both knew that he didn't have much longer to live.

Helena was well aware of this and so she quickly put her shopping bags inside her chambers before heading to the Potions lab to check on the potion.

The potion sat on the center bench and Helena smiled when she saw that the potion was the right shade of light blue, and so she lifted it onto the stand and set it so it would boil for ten minutes.

As the potion boiled, Helena waved her wand and cleaned away the dust that had settled in the time that the lab had remained unused while Severus was ill. Some cauldrons sat by the sink with grime coating the insides, probably from when Severus came down here as Headmaster and hadn't clean them. Helena tied her hair back into a bun and began to wash the cauldrons by hand.

Scrubbing until her hands were red and achy Helena had managed to get all the grime cleaned away, only once stopping to remove the cauldron from the boil.

Helena sighed and trudged back to her chambers where she settled into a relaxing bath that she had filled with rose oils and salts that she had brought from home.

Once the bathwater was almost cold, Helena stepped out and changed into a pair of silk pajamas which consisted of burgundy camisole with a black lace trim at the top and matching shorts.

Skipping dinner, Helena climbed into her bed and soon fell asleep.

A/N: Woo what a boring chapter! I had the worst writers block during this, and so I apologise for how crappy the writing is.
