"NO!" You scream hysterically.
You stare teary eyed at your father, Carter. Again, he comes home drunk and mad about something else from his job.
People think your life is so glamorous because your father is THE Carter Reynolds. Former Magcon boy, now a famous attorney, and you got all the money in the world. But your "to die for life" ended when you were 9 years old.
Carter came one night drunk and mad about the case he was facing. Whenever he was mad, he drank and drank and drank. Nobody could do anything about it. That night, he decided he would take his anger out on you.
That's when all hell rose. He beat you until you were covered in blood and bruises. He'd broken many of your bones while beating you. There was never an end. It just kept going and going and going.
Thus the reason you were screaming.
"SHUT UP!" he roars at you.
You lay vulnerably on the floor, wondering what you did to deserve such treatment.
He slaps you. He kicks you. He punches you. He stamps on you. He abuses you in every possible form.
And there's nothing you can do about it.
After all the beating ended, he stands up, spits on you and says, "You, y/n, are a mistake. And just remember, you're never anything special."
