You were sitting in your desk during your first period class. The teacher, Mrs. Ritcher, was currently humiliating you, while the kids laughed and listened in eagerness of what she was to say next.
"This girl up here, y/n, is a cheater, a bad influence, a mistake, and a misfit. The way she is treated is the way she deserved. I'm surprised her parents haven't sent her to an orphanage or something by now. I am saying I hate this girl."
She turns towards you and yells, "GET OUT INTO THE HALLWAY NOW!" and smacks a ruler on your desk.
You stand with your head down and tears in your eyes. No one bothers to stand up for you. They all hate you
anyways.
The next thing you know, there's a knock on the door. The teacher stands up and unlocks it.
"Is this Mrs. Ritcher's class?"
"Yes, young man. Is this your first day?"
"Yes, m'am."
She smiles and says,"I'm glad you have joined our class, young man."
She goes to her computer.
"Benjamin Grier?"
"I go by my middle name, Hayes, m'am."
She puts it into the computer and turns.
"I thought I told you to go to the hallway, Miss y/l/n(your last name)! go in there before I send you to the principal's office again!"
Hayes stares at you with concern in his eyes.
You go into the hall with tears.

You eat lunch at a little table by yourself.
Hayes strolls into the lunch room and looks around. He spots your table and walks over to it.
You smile and move over for him to sit next to you. He was cute, and you had a little crush on him.
He sits near you. "What was that whole going into the hallway about?"
"All my teachers hate me. I think you're in some of my other classes right?"
He nods. "So far, all our classes. Why does she hate you so much?"
"Because of the goody two shoes. That's why everyone hates me. All the goody two shoes hate me because I get beaten and I'm not 'smart', so they hate me and tell the teachers."
"Come over to my house."
"I don't know where you live."
"I live on Western and 7th."
"Oh, I do too! You must've moved next door. Someone just moved in. I'll come over."
"Ok," he says with a grin. "Walk home with me too."
You grin. "Ok."

You and Hayes walk the whole way to your homes. He had a great sense of humor and just an overall awesome personality. You fell in love with him more after a word slipped out of his mouth.
When you finally came to his house, he opened the door and motioned for you to follow him. You went up the stairs and into his room.
"The real reason I asked you is because I really like you. I want to date you. Is that possible?"
You break into a smile. "Of course!"
