The drive from the forest was to much for Jace to handle but Neko was so invested on looking outside the window and feeling the cool breeze of fresh air against her pelt. She was so happy to be not only out of that forest but to also be adopted by Jace, the only human who didn't show her nothing but kindness in his heart.
Jace has so much in his mind but felt like he could conquer the world with his new companion who gave him her trust in a short while or them meeting in the forest. He learned a lot about her and about her backstory that he could actually write a book about it, but he had a friend in the arts of writing books so he decided to talk to him instead.
The drive seemed longer but the two managed to get home just in time with everyone rejoicing that Jace returned home, even the bar people. When Jace left the car of his dead friend he looked towards everyone around him. And who does he see first?
"Jace! Honey! You're alive!" Eliza screams as she makes her way towards him, but he had other plans for her. Jace played the part very well by giving her many hugs and many kisses. He even asked for her forgiveness in leaving her in such a hurry which he proudly accepted without a doubt.
Neko was still in the car which was all the townspeople cared about. They rushed towards the car taking any picture they could with their digital cameras. This frightened Neko so much that she attempted to escape the machine and run but many people were blocking her way and couldn't let her get out.
This went on for ten minutes and Jace realized that all the publicity was scaring her so he got the people away from the car. "Stop it! You're scaring her!" He screamed as he opened the door, taking off his jacket to wrap around her to hide her. Everyone was so eager with the pictures they had that they started to clear out looking for a news station to report the story to. This pissed off Jace so much. She was a creature, not a statue.
Jace got into the car and left Eliza there just to take Neko home with him. He held her paw with one hand and the other was managing the steering wheel. Even though she was wrapped in the jacket she still felt scared and safe at the same time. Her being with Jace was a whole new world to explore for her and she was going to take the chance anyway she could.
Once home, Jace allowed made a safe stop so Neko doesn't get frightened by the car's harsh stop. "Okay.. welcome home Neko." Jace said calmly as he got out of the vehicle along with Neko coming out and viewing the features of the home.
The house was tall with a balcony and second floor. The windows were like the Victorian era style of windows and the house was painted in a burgundy type of fashion. It was made to Jace's soon to be ex wife's liking but now that he knows the baby isn't his, he's so done with her.
"I'll show you where you sleep little Neko." Jace instructed as he unlocked the door and proceeded to enter with Neko coming from behind him to continue exploring the new sights. Everything looked like they were made by a god and given to Jace. But Jace crushed the idea by saying, "you like it? It's all fake stuff. It was to make my ex happy with the whole 'moving in' with me."
Neko was thrilled to have a home and proceeded to nuzzle Jace's hand every chance she had to do so. It gave her comfort to know that she would be properly taken cared of now since the forest was all she knew at first.
An hour of a house tour and couple bad puns later, Jace decided to make a family meal for just the two of them because he had bigger fish to fry later so he wanted to wait until the monster got home.
Jace was an amazing cook and has cooked for many great people before meeting Eliza. He's made world renown dishes that the Queen of England would be so proud of him, even though he is not at all English.
"I hope you're not allergic to steak and fries, Neko." He said as he held out a bowl of food for her to eat. Surprised, Neko took a couple sniffs of the food to get the smell familiar and took her first bite. Then another. Then another.
Jace smiled that she was eating and heard the front door slam which frightened Neko to make her hide under the table. "Thanks for not coming back to pick me up honey. I actually wonder why I'm still with you if you're just going to forget about me." Eliza came running in saying as her feet stomping filled the room.
Neko whimpered scared under the table and Eliza yelled so loud, "Shut up dog!" It silenced Neko but it enraged Jace. "You don't talk to Neko that way tramp." He said out loud getting in front of the table and her. Eliza gasped as he never talked to her that way in their relationship.
"How dare you talk to me that way! I spent my entire life with you and you treat me like this?!" She told him in disgust and anger. Jace looked at her and has he got close to her she started backing away from her. "You say that but proceed to cheat on me with my best friend!" He yelled as he pinned her to the wall angrily that she scared his best companion.
"Wh-what do you mean?" She said when she tried to sound innocent. Jace's rage took a whole new level and what happened was just bizarre.
