Loosening the String

A damsel had a sight of this string
As curious cat as she was,
She searched for its end

Little did she know,
It was a trap.

That lead her to her swain
A swain who is just right for her
They twisted and knotted it
As if they don't want to separate their ways anymore
As if it was an oath that will make them together—forever

Sadly, things went rough
Everything has changed
Someone need to stop—to let go
And so she did

Crestfallen, incomplete, mess
That's what she was

A new morning arrived
She then greeted it with a smile
She want him back
And she will get him back
That is what her thought was

Yet, she held back
It'll be painful, hard for him
She thought

This damsel finally cleared up her mind
Gotten a grip of herself at last

Maybe it is already time to slowly unknot the string
Maybe it is time to part ways
Maybe it is time for her to let go of what ifs
Maybe it is time to let him enter the cosmos he wants to be in

Now's the time to stop living in what was,
The time to embrace the what is,
And time to enthusiastically wait for what will be.

With that kind of introspection,
Her psyche was freed from thoughts she always wanted to yield,
Now her heart felt somewhat relieved.

This will be the last but it doesn't mean what I feel for you already vanished. It won't, you know. You are my first.

I have not yet fully expressed what is truly within in this damned self but at least, I somewhat shared some of it.

Till we meet again.
