Tony's POV (Sunday)

There I was, in the kitchen making a sandwich. Yeah apparently if you ask Pepper to do that for you, you will get yelled at. A lot. And told off for laziness. I am no good at making sandwiches. But look on the bright side, at least Jen isn't here for the weekend. Yes. She had to go on a trip with her boyfriend or something. I couldn't really care less but at least the house is calm and nothing got broken. I was even able to take out some of my expensive statues which I totally hate but only put them on display because I can. Because they will not get broken.

Kerry is going to school tomorrow. She seemed really unhappy when I suggested that idea. But all I really want is a normal child you socializes with other people. Is that too difficult? Besides she needs some friends that aren't a super clumsy silly weirdo. You know who I'm talking about. I still can't believe she's gone. I feel like throwing a party. Which I totally would if Kerry and Pepper agreed with me. Damn I'm whipped.

I walked into my living room and turned the TV on. There was nothing good on TV but it's so much better than all that cheesy crap that Jen watches. See how awesome my life is without that annoying....maybe I should not finish that sentence.

I finally settled on some crappy cooking channel. I wasn't even planning on watching it. My sandwich wasn't the best but it was edible. Which was more than I thought it will be. I am just too awesome for everything. Really that's true.

I couldn't help but wonder what Pepper and Kerry were doing. Pepper was probably doing something important and Kerry was probably getting ready for school.

I heard a knock on the door which made me jump. What could it be? Or who could it be? Nothing important I hope.

I walked up there slowly wondering who might want to visit me while I'm eating a sandwich. Seriously not a good idea. I open it revealing a man in a black suit. I open my mouth to ask him a question but before I can do that he whips out a badge and shows it to me. He's a S.H.I.E.L.D Agent?

I sighed loudly with so much annoyance. ''What the hell do you all still want from me? We defeated the reindeer guy already we need a break you know.'' I told him sounding extremely pissed off and I was. I can't keep doing things for them all the time! I have a family now!

''I need to talk to you urgently.'' He said and I moved out of the way so he can come in. What can be so urgent?

''Look I have a family, whatever you want me to do, I can't do it.'' I stated and he looked at me with no emotion. Jesus it's like all the agents of S.H.I.E.L.D have perfected the art of acting like a freaking statue.

''That's exactly why I'm here. You have adopted a child and we fear that she is in great danger.'' He told me and I raised an eyebrow.

''What do you mean by danger?''

''I mean that you need to take care of her and keep her under your watch at all times. We think that something is after her.'' He said and I began to get worried. What exactly was after her?

''You think? Or you know for sure?'' I asked sounding quite angry now. I hate that they all keep secrets and can't tell anyone all the truth unless they get permission from Nick Fury. That bastard is seriously getting on my nerves now.

''I cannot tell you that Mr Stark. Just keep her safe and don't let her out anywhere.''

''She's going to school tomorrow.'' I told him and it was his turn to look pissed at me this time.

''No she isn't.'' He replied. How dare he? She's my daughter!

''Yes she is! She needs a normal life like everybody else and you better control all your 'threats' because I'm sick of doing things for you all the time and not getting anything in return.'' I told him and he stared at me which really creeped me out a lot.

''No she isn't! You have to keep her away from danger! Fury's orders!'' He snapped and stormed off leaving me with a shocked expression on my face. Damn S.H.I.E.L.D.

Screw Fury's orders! She's going to school and that's final. I don't care what they say. She needs to live like a normal person. And I'm sure they're gonna send someone to spy on her anyway because you know Fury knows me quite well and the fact that following orders isn't my style. The whole bloody S.H.I.E.L.D freak show knows that. All their attempts at taking away my normal life will fail I swear.

''Um Tony? Can you tell me what exactly is out there that's a danger to me?'' A face appeared in the living room and it was Kerry's. I sighed. She must've heard some of the conversation.

''Nothing. You're safe don't worry. I wont let anything happen to you. I promise.'' I said to her getting down on my knees and hugging her. Normal life is such a precious thing to me and I refuse to ever let it go. I will protect Kerry and Pepper till the end of time and no danger is going to stop Kerry from living a nice normal life that she deserves. I never had one till now. It's best if she gets it early. I let go of her and messed up her hair a bit as a joke and she giggled.

''Go get ready. It's a big day for you tomorrow.'' I said and she hopped to her room even though I knew she wasn't that excited. It's okay though. She'll get used to it eventually. I hope.
