Kerry's POV
I shove a large amount of popcorn in my mouth and almost choke on it all when a funny bit comes on my favourite show as I start laughing. I remind myself to never do that again and continue watching. The whole couch was a horrific mess, filled with loads of sweets, popcorn and a lot of other useless stuff that Pepper would tell me off for. But she's not here as she decided to go shopping apparently. She had already left the house when I woke up. So that means I get to watch whatever and do whatever. However I did promise Tony to clean it up soon, just before she comes back.
Its boring without Jen and I wished she'd hurry up and come back already. I was prepared to deal with horrible movies just to have some company.
I threw some popcorn in the air and tried to catch them with my mouth right when Tony decided to come in and look at what I was doing. Also at the mess.
''You better clean all of that up before Pepper comes back. I'm sure she'll be here soon and I don't want to get yelled at. Also it would be nice if you found some other hobbies instead of watching TV all the time.''
''But there's nothing else to do!'' I replied and laid down on the couch not caring about any of the sweets that were stabbing my back.
''There will be soon. I am going to find you a teacher. Me and Pepper decided on home schooling. So from Monday you'll be busy.'' He told me and I actually felt happy about that. No more people ,just learning It will also be at home, so food.
''Jarvis,'' Tony began ''Look for the best teachers, make a list, go through them all and then have 2 copies printed on my desk by tomorrow. But look only for the best. No bad reviews.''
His eyes then landed on me. He looked really serious for some reason.
''Kerry, I know you've already been with us for a while but I decided that we should throw a welcoming party. Many people will be invited. It will be great opportunity for you to meet my friends and acquaintances and to socialize. You'll also get a good idea of what its like being rich and going to all these parties. Wear something nice. Be ready by 6pm.'' Before I could protest Tony began speaking again but this time not to me. Looks like I don't get a say in this.
''Jarvis, call them decorator people, make this house look awesome. Also order some food and send someone to get groceries and other desserts or whatever. Don't forget drinks.'' He added and Jarvis replied with 'Yes Sir' without any complaints or questions. I really admired Jarvis. He's such a loyal friend.
I was thinking about the 'wear something nice bit'. What exactly do all these rich people consider nice? I didn't want to just pick what I liked and then looked stupid because that wasn't the rich definition of nice. I was not prepared for a party and neither did I like meeting loads of people. I'm the kid of one of the most famous people on earth and this was my welcoming party. Of course everyone would only be interested in me. I didn't like the idea at all. I shoved a handful of skittles in my mouth and got all my strength to tidy this horrible mess that is the couch. All the food that was there didn't have their packets anymore. The fact that there were sweets everywhere and that I was also bored out of my mind didn't help at all.
Before I could stop my crazy mind from doing something stupid, I was already throwing all the sweets on the carpet and was on the floor making a snow angel (or you know sweet angel).
I then realized that it wasn't helping me tidy at all, so I got up and began picking it all up and showing it in my clothes. Soon I was filled with pop-corn and skittles and other sweets and others that didn't fit, went in my hands. I took everything to my bedroom and put it all on the bedside table and emptied my clothes. The sweets from my clothes ended up all over the carpet but I would pick some up and eat them anyway. No carpet ain't stopping me from having some of the rainbow goodness that is skittles. I love you skittles. I thought to myself.
