CHAPTER ONE: TALLEN
As I wait for beautiful brunette, Claire, to arrive, I take in my surroundings. I'm standing in a very large and beautiful hotel where we will be dining tonight. The ceiling is high with a chandelier in every room. Dim lights fill the building. Finally she walks in with a red skin tight dress on that just barely glides against the floor with every step. Our eyes meet and I can't help but smile. Although this is our first date I have a feeling that this one might last, she's gorgeous and a lot prettier than the last one. Claire wears a long diamond necklace that compliments her dazzling blue eyes perfectly.
"Hey, there stranger," she teases me.
"Fancy meeting you here," I say in return with my famous smile and a wink.
"Who knew you could pull off a tux so well."
"Well you don't look too bad yourself," I say with a laugh in my voice.
We head over to our table and I offer her a glass of red wine.
"A toast to the most beautiful girl here tonight, and to living forever."
"To living forever," she agrees with a smile.
"May I offer you some champagne or an appetizer perhaps?" The waiter asks politely. "Could we get some red wine for this stunning lady?" I say as I sweep my sleek golden hair.
"Wow, stunning huh? I guess she is prettier than the last one you brought in. What was her name again Kellie, Cassie? No now I remember, it was Callie right? She was the blonde model from Maryland ha?"
I can't believe the waiter remembered that...
"Haha...yeah well um...that might've been someone else Steven." I say as I try to cover up my long list of dating history.
"No I'm fairly certain it was you... no matter, enjoy the wine. I will bring it shortly."
Claire starts to get up from her seat looking offended and upset.
"Where are you going?" I ask as I try to get her to sit down.
"Away from you! I can't believe I still went on a date with you after Emily told me about you! She said you were a player but I wanted to give you a chance...ugh whatever." she was getting emotional now.
"Wait! Babe, I've changed! Callie was nowhere near as hot as you are!" I was desperate.
My lousy attempts at trying to keep Claire here didn't help and she walked away without looking back. After she left I felt angry ad stressed, I payed the waiter for my wine and went home drunk.
Once I got to my apartment I realized I had left the key in the men's bathroom and since I didn't feel like paying another cab, I slept out side.
