I laid on the couch staring up at my living room ceiling all night. The couch wasn't the best place to rest on but for once something other than the rusty springs sticking into my back was keeping me wide awake. "Did he really say that? Did I hear him wrong?" I knew better than to wake a sleeping Bentley, especially after the night he had but the idea of my best friend also being a regressor wasn't something I could just put in the back of my mind and sleep on. "If he's does, does he know I do? Why hasn't he brought this up to me before?"

I groan and roll to my side as the sun begins to creep through my windows. I hadn't slept at all and the sounds of birds chirping, telling me it was morning wasn't making me happy in the least. It's Saturday I shouldn't mind being up all night and sleeping all day right? Wrong. My dumb ass had made plans with some stranger to meet at a place I'm usually off from on the weekends, if I'm lucky.

I sigh and drag myself off the couch, a million things running through my head as I sneak into the bedroom to get dressed. "What if this isn't Hannah? What if it is? What do I wear? Uniform or causal? What if she finds out its me and doesn't like the in person me? How the hell did I miss my best friends regression?"

Tucking my uniform in I smile at the buddled up man in my bed sucking his thumb. I hadn't planned on waking him so I quickly wrote him a note as I finished getting ready.

"Hey Bent, hope you're feeling better today, feel free to stay here and make yourself at home. I should be back in a few hours. Sleep tight and wish me luck."

I smiled, placing the note next to the bundle of blankets he had managed to wrap himself in. "Sweet dreams buddy."

"Okay, deep breaths. Do not pass out." I splash some water in my face, washing my hands and running down the stations stairs to be front and center at the garage. Saying I was nervous was an understatement, I literally felt numb and I could not stop pacing around the trucks for the life of me.

Soon enough there were footsteps coming from the driveway and I quickly made my way to the front of the trucks. "Mr. Logan! how are you?" I found myself embraced in a friendly hug, instinctively warpping my arms around the person in front of me.

"Ms. Marone! Good to see you, who's this little guy?" I bite my lip nervously, my eyes catching a sight of just how beautiful this woman is. "This is my nephew Astro, he's going to be a fire fighter some day too and this is Calum." I smile politely at the man standing behind them. I felt a twist of jealously fill my stomach. Is that her boyfriend? Maybe it's really not her. I lean down and shake the boys hand, he couldn't have been more than three or four. The boy smiles and waves shyly as I high five him. I ask him a few questions to make him more comfortable before heading off to the trucks. "Daddy! Look at that!" The boy points up at the fire pole, smiling big and tugging on Calum's pant leg. I sigh a breath of relief, learning who the mystery man was.

I smile to myself knowing I had to make my move now or never. As if on cue my co workers show up, agreeing earlier they'd do most of the tour themseleves. "This is Buck and this is Leanne they're going to give you guys the grand tour, I was hoping to speak with your aunt for a minute." Ms. Marone narrowed her eyes at me, but followed me behind the trucks never the less.

"Yes Mr. Logan?" I can feel myself start to blush hearing my name roll off her tongue. "I was uh thinking, maybe you could bring your class here to see it all up close, I talked to my chief about it and he thought it'd be a great idea and-" Ms. Marone giggles, nodding her head, saving me from my rambling. "I think that'd be a great idea, sounds like you just can't get enough of seeing me hmm?" I feel a pair of lips press against my cheek and I swear my heart stopped. "I uh well, I would love to uh take you out sometime.." I fiddle with my uniform sleeves nervously. What has gotten into me? How could I just come out and say that?!

"Hmm." I gulp hearing her hum suspiciously. "I'd like that, how about tonight?" I nodd fast, completely unable to get a sound out. "Good, now come along Loganberries show me all about your work."

I smile, blushing and leading the way to my truck, freezing and turning to meet her gaze. "Loganberries? I-I like it." I smile wide, cheering in my head as we walk. No one has ever called me that except Hannah.

Hey guys! Hope you enjoy! Don't forget to vote!
