It was another normal day for you, you were on your way to see your Saiyan best friend, Caulifla. Even though you couldn't fight, she seen potential in you and that's how you both became good friends.

She was training outside, in her Saiyan suit when you seen her. You decided to watch before you made your appearance.

You watched as she threw punches and kicks at high speed in her super Saiyan form. You stood and stared in awe at her. You felt like cheering but you didn't want to alert her of your presence.

You had both become really close when you met as kids. Although she wanted to train and get stronger all the time, you respected her in her decision and let your friendship take a back seat.

• Your Pov •

"Caulifla!" You shout, waving at her with a big grin. Her face lit up as soon as she seen you, and she returned the wave.

"(Y/N)-chan!" She said as I walked over to her. "I was just practicing my super Saiyan, I want to achieve many new forms. Hopefully in the near future!" She seamed so exited, you mirrored her expression as you wanted her to see how much you supported her, however at the same time you thought she already spent too much time training. You didn't want her to push herself to far. But more importantly you didn't want to loose anymore precious time with her.

"That's great!" You say, hiding your defeat. You really wanted to tell her how much you were missing being together. As much as you disliked fighting, you wanted to try just to be with her. "Do you want to grab something to eat maybe?" You say, hoping to spend more time with her before she continued.

"Sorry, (Y/N)-chan. Maybe later, I felt as though I was really getting somewhere today. Next time I promise!" She says, clenching her fists and looking really happy.

You loved seeing her happy, but you hardly seen her enough to see that beautiful smile.

"Oh..." You mutter. "Ok then, see you later." You flash her a quick smile and you leave her alone. She waved and grinned, continuing her everlasting training.

As you walked away you turned back, to get one last glimpse of her. You stood still watching her, wondering why you couldn't express your feelings properly. She gracefully sent attacks around and you stood out of the way.

"(Y/N)..." you turned around to see a concerned Kale. "Will you just tell her what's wrong? She can't do anything about it if she doesn't know..." She gives a sympathetic smile and looks to Caulifla. You nod nervously.

"I want to- I-I just can't." You look down at your feet in shame.

"You can, she's been you best friend forever. I am sure she will understand. You want to tell her before it's too late." She placed her hand on your shoulder and looked into your eyes. You gather confidence and nod, promising to yourself that you will confess to her.

"I will, right now!" You say, confidently. Kale removes her hand from your shoulder and leaves you two alone. You clench your fists and take a deep breath.

You slowly walk over to her, twiddling with your thumbs as you did so. She caught a glimpse of you and slowed down.

"...(Y/N) is everything okay?" She said, concerned. You take another deep breath and throw your hands down to your sides.

"No! No...I really need to speak with you!" You say, tearing up slightly. You avert your gaze from hers and she tries to connect them by moving into your sight.

"Go ahead, you can tell me anything!" She says, worry building in her expression.

You sigh, giving in. You wanted to tell her how you have been missing her and you wanted to spend more time with her, instead you ended up telling her something you weren't sure about until recently.

"I-I really like y-you!" You say, feeling a weight being lifted off your shoulders. She stood there in shock. The only thing you were interested in now was her reply - nothing else mattered. You both stared into each others eyes for what felt like hours but was probably only seconds.

A blush rose on her cheeks and her shocked expression faded into a soft smile. You sighed in relief. Even if she was to turn you down now, at least you got to see that smile one last time.

"(Y/N)...I like you too. I haven't seen a lot of you lately but every time you come and see me, my day becomes a hundred times better." She reverted out of her super Saiyan form and gave you a grin.

"I guess you could say that my power obsession was your fault." You were baffled by what she said, this made you feel pain in your chest. Your smile faded.

"All along I really just wanted to protect and be there for you, (Y/N). I know you don't like fighting yourself, so I was prepared jump in and play the heroine for you instead~" she gave a small giggle and ruffled my hair. This made me smile. Your face lightened up and you hugged her out of delight.

She returned the hug and you both stay in that position for what seemed like a long time, but then again maybe that was because you desperately wanted it to.

"On the topic of your fighting, I just wanted to spend more time with you aswell." You say, feeling completely comfortable around her now that she knows your biggest secret.

"I understand, it's the same here really." You both pulled out of the hug. "I will from now on (Y/N)"

"I can't wait to see the new forms your going to achieve!" You say smiling uncontrollably. She grins and puts her hands on her hips.

"You just wait (Y/N)-chan! I'm gonna get a whole lot stronger!" You giggle at her confidence. "Come on, let's grab something to eat. We need to catch up." She takes you by the hand and leads you inside.

You tag along behind her and catch sight of Kale in the distance. You can just make out that she winked at you and you shout her a "Thank you" smile.

You and Caulifla caught up that day, you both explained everything to each other just like old times and things went smoothly.

40 years on and she's still by your side, she was the most important person in your life and always will be. Even though some day your life will come to an end, she vows to be there as your best friend, love of your life, but more importantly, the Saiyan who made your life what it is today - perfect.
