Without a single thought, Knox shoved past the maid and tunneled down the stairs with fire pumping through his veins. He failed to understand the audacity of the man and he was more astounded at the fact that he had the nerve to visit his home... Visit his woman.
Knox flung the front door open, coming face to face with an also angry Fred. "Where's Gina?" he demanded brusquely.
"Get the hell away from my house!" Knox retorted between tightly clenched teeth.
Gna's footsteps could be heard from behind. "Fred what are you doing here?" she asked, moving a bit in front of Knox to separate the two.
"You weren't picking up any calls, I was worried. What the hell happened to your head?" he exclaimed, eyes wide with worry before he glared at Knox. "What did you do to her?" he expelled angrily, hands balled into fists.
"Knox didn-"
"You have less than ten seconds to get the hell back in your car," Knox seethed.
Inoring his threat, Fred looked to Gina. "Come with me," he said, reaching for her, but before they could make contact, he was shoved aside by Knox who then sent a blow to his face.
Gina screamed as Fred made contact with the ground. Already, the chauffeur and and some other groundsmen were ready to assist.
"Get him out of here!" Knox roared, flashing his arm."What the hell is wrong with you!" Gina hissed, moving from in front of him while she marched upstairs.
"Where are you going?" Knox asked, following behind.
"To get my things. I'm going with Fred!" she shouted.
Knox ran and caught up with her, grabbing her arm, causing her to briskly turn to meet his gaze.
"You aren't going anywhere. Especially not with him," he exclaimed, brows narrowed, his eyes like sinister. A shiver ran up Gina's spine, seeing how cold and callous he looked.
She tried to tug herself from his hold nonetheless but he didn't budge. "Let go."
His Adam's Apple bobbed as he stared at her, not knowing what to do but knowing exactly what he should say. "What I did was foolish all those years ago. I should have told you what I was doing and it was selfish of me to act so impulsively but I was afraid that talking to you would've hindered me from going Gina, and I- I had to go...."
"Yes," she croaked out. "To save your friend and her child. You made that quite clear."
"I didn't leave because I loved them more. I left because I didn't have a choice."
Gina scoffed. "I'm tired of people saying they didn't have a choice! You had a choice, you just didn't choose me, Knox."
Knox pulled in a breath. "I regret not telling you about everything back then, Gina - I'll always hate myself for that, but I did not regret leaving."
