Gina walked towards the door, tightening the knot to her robe as she went to see who it was. She just came out of the shower and Knox had gone out to get her more pills aswell as dinner. A feeling of oddity had overcame Gina over the past day; for the first time in years, she felt hopeful, but still not complete. She wasn't sure what she and Knox would do moving forward but they had agreed to take it slow. She didn't know how slow, slow was, but she thought she still needed some time to wrap her head around all that had happened.

Gina opened the door to find the chauffeur at the front. He smiled. "Good afternoon ma'am."

"Hey, is everything alright?" she asked.

"I was planning on bringing your car to the auto shop when I found this inside," he said, handing her a phone.

Gina blew out a relieved sigh. "Oh my God. Thankyou so much! I almost opted to get a replacement," she said, eyes on the small device.

The man smiled. "You're welcome ma'am."

"Please...call me Gina," she said, unable to resist the flirtatious smile that she had achieved so effortlessly over the years.

The young man nodded with a blush before he left. Gina immediately went to get her charger after realising the battery was dead. She knew she must have a ton of calls so while the phone charged, she sat closeby, eager to check her notifications.

Few minutes later she was able to get some juice from it. She muttered a curse when she saw the great amount of messages and missed calls that she had to respond to. The first person Gina opted to call was Sally and that she did.

"Jesus Christ Gina!" her shrilled voice came. "What the hell happened to your phone? I'm on my way over right now...I thought something happened to you. Are you ok?" her concerned voice came.

Gina smiled. "I'm fine, I just had a small acc..." she stopped herself. "Look I'll explain everything once you're here," she exclaimed.

"You better. I'm five minutes away."

"Ok, see you then," she said, disconnecting the call.

The other messages were concerned ones from Fred, some from her parents and the others from distant friends. At the thought of Fred, Gina realised she had no idea of what to do when it came to the relationship between them. She knew she was still not at her best where Knox was concerned but she loved him, wherein she only cared greatly for Fred. She didn't want to break his heart but she also didn't want to lead him on anymore.

"Gina!" a voice called. Gina bounded from her chair, dashing towards the front door where she opened it and flung her arms around her best friend.

"My, am I glad to see you," she exclaimed with relief.

When they pulled apart, Sally was smiling but it quickly turned to a frown when she saw the bruise on Gina's head.
