Shay Bourne

Walking off the plane, I yawned and stretched so much that I accidentally hit someone in the eye. I apologized immediately at the person. I heard a husky voice say "Watch it." from behind me. A little startled, I turned around to the guy. He looked no more than twenty-five. He was white, a little taller than me, and he had a beard. His brown eyes flared in curiosity as to what I had to say.

"No, maybe you should watch where you're going next time buddy." I blurted out. Not knowing where this sudden burst of bravery came from, I immediately turned around and walked away so nothing else could go down.

"Lil Bourne! Over here girl!" I heard a familiar voice shout behind me. I turned around and saw my cousin, Lux, holding a white sign with my full name on it. I grimaced and ran up to her. "Hey! Long time no see!" She smiled as she hugged me. I hugged her back in return and took the sign away from her. "Really, my full name? Why can't you just put what everybody calls me, Shay Bourne." I frowned. She laughed and stuck her tongue out. "Oh please, why would I do that? After all, it's the name on your birth certificate, and the name we used to use when we played together as children." She smirked.

"Ugh, whatever. I'm not her anymore, I'm Shay," I smiled. "Besides, I'm a changed person." Which is true. She looked at me up and down with her hand on her hip, smirking. For a while she just stood there, thinking and nodding.

"Mhm, okay. Let's go now! We have a lot to do and plan."

I followed her threw the crowd of people here at the airport. Lux was different from me. While I had long brown hair, she had black, but she died it to this flaming red color. It suited her too. She was tall and very fit while I was short and have never stepped foot in a gym before. Lux was a smartass, I on the other hand, didn't really do well compared to her. I was an average. She was like a goodess.

She helped me put my suitcases in the back of her dark grey hummer. While she picked up the last suitcase and struggled to make it fit in the trunk, I looked around the place. It was busy. Busy, busy busy. People where everywhere and in a rush. It was way different from home. Then, the same boy from earlier came into my view.

"Uh..." I said, unsurely of his presence. He smirked at me and pushed me out of the way to get to Lux. I glared at the back of his head as he started to flirt with Lux.

"Lux, babe, you shouldn't be dressing like that in public. You're supposed to save those legs for me in private." I seriously made a what-the-fuck face at him and he saw. He winked and turned back to Lux. She rolled her eyes as she finally got the suitcase to fit properly. She slammed the trunk and locked it, then turned to the douche's attention.

"Flame, go home. You're drunk." She placed her hands on his shoulders and turned him around. I held in my chuckle. Flame? What kind of name is that? Please don't tell me that's his real name. "Is he really?" I asked, getting really impulsive at the moment, "Is your name really Flame, cause I feel really bad for you."

Lux looked at me in disbelief but turned back to 'Flame'. Flame shrugged. "It's whatever, piercing girl." He smirked at me. Oh that's right. I decided to get a piercing in my nose. Lux threw a punch in the douche's arm and pushed him away from her. "Go away, you don't get to meet my cousin." She stuck her tongue out at him, but he didn't see it because he was staring at me.

"We already met." He chuckled. I blushed when he chuckled because it sounded so deep. "Yeah, sadly." I commented.

"How?" Lux asked as she pointed to us to get inside of her vehicle. I was about to call shotgun but Flame hurried and got in the seat. I rolled my eyes and hopped in the back. I could tell that this Flame character would ruin my vacation with Lux.
