Chapter 3 || to new beginnings

I ignored each and every single message he sent me. I didn't know what to think. I didn't know how to think. I didn't know what to say. How could I respond to this? I was beyond confused about my feelings. Through all the pain and endless nights of sleep he's put me through, I still cared for him.

And I was scared.

But what about Justin? What about him? We didn't even have a serious relationship.

So Jason was a serious relationship? It didn't even last a month.

Dammit, I need a release.

No, maybe a drink. Yeah, I need a drink.

I pulled the covers away from my slightly cold body and sat up in bed. I know Lux may have something in her kitchen that I could probably sip on. I slipped on my socks and walked quietly to the kitchen.

Down the hallway was dark. Though, it wasn't too dark, I could still make out where the walls and the floor were. I took a few more steps and then I saw the dim light in the kitchen. When I walked towards it, I noticed that it was just a light above the stove. Ignoring it, I made my way in the fridge. I opened it up and looked for anything that would spark up my eyes.

"Oh." I said curiously as I took out a glass bottle of vodka. I frowned a little at the choice but went for it anyway. I sat the bottle on the island and took out a glass cup from the cabinet.

I poured a little of the vodka in the glass and raised it up. "Cheers to new beginnings."

"Cheers." Someone said as they moved out of the dark hallway. I gasped as I put a hand over my heart. The glass almost slipped from my other hand but I sat it down slowly.

Flame stepped out, smirking at me. "Why are you drinking? Don't tell me you have some sort of drinking problem."

I picked up the glass and looked at him curiously, "No, I don't." I said as I put my bottom lip on the glass, ready to feel the liquid run down my throat.

"Good. Can I join you?" He asked as he made his way in the kitchen. I nodded. "Do what you want."

As he went in the cabinet and got a glass, I already gulped down the little shot of vodka in my glass. I flinched a little as the burning liquid trickled down my throat.

"Wait up." Flame said behind me. He placed his shot glass down on the island and replaced my glass to another shot glass. He filled up both shot glasses and gave one to me.

"To new beginnings." He grinned at me.

"To new beginnings." I repeated. We clanged our glasses together and took a shot.

It went on like this for a while until we both passed out on the couch. Against each other and in each other's arms.

"Shay! Get the hell up!" I heard Lux's high-pitched voice boom all around me. I jumped, frightened and sat up. My body felt cold all of a sudden and I had a raging headache that was coming.

"What?!" I shouted. I then noticed that I was in the living room on the couch. Oh yeah, about last night...

I heard groaning and that's when I was reminded that someone was laying under me. I felt their arm slip away from my bare stomach. Bare? Cold? I looked down and noticed that Flame was now waking up.

Shit! Damn! Fuck!

What the hell happened? I don't remember us doing anything.

I looked down again and noted that I still had my bra and my shorts on. On the other hand, Flame didn't have his shirt on either. Dammit! He's tan and he has a six pack.

I looked away when Lux spoke again. "You have a visitor, Shay." She growled. She looked between me and Flame and walked into the kitchen. I watched as Lux frown the whole time while she put away the glass bottles and the empty vodka bottle away.

"Well, go on. You have a visitor waiting." Flame said in his morning raspy voice. "We'll take later."

I nodded and grabbed my tank off the floor. I stood up and stretched and put on my top. Curious, I started walking to the door. I took a glance at Lux but she turned her back to me. I wonder why she's actin like that. Was she jealous? Flame and I didn't do anything! Besides that, doesn't she have like a boyfriend?

I sighed as I walked closer to the door. Who in the hell could that be? My heart was pounding incredibly fast. I reached the door and opened it all the way.

No way...
