You awake to find yourself on a brown, worn sofa. You were still in the workshop and in the distance Jason was tinkering with some sort of contraption. You tried to sit up quietly as to not be noticed by the toymaker. Maybe you could escape somehow. You slowly stand up and begin to make your way to a door. You trip over some workshop tools and as a result a loud bang followed. You kept looking down as you saw Jason edge closer to you. You saw a gloved hand reach down to help. You reluctantly take it and stand once more.
" Thank you " You say quietly, not looking into those green eyes.
" Your welcome ( Y/N ) " You notice that his voice was less gruff then it had once been and you finally look up. Jason's features were now very, human like. Sure he did look human before but his expression had an edge to it, now he looked like any normal human being. He looked so innocent. Realizing your mind was drifting away into thoughts again you look away from the scarlet haired man. He seemed slightly concerned by your actions and gestured towards the table.
" Would you like to see my toys?" You didn't know what to think. Was the toymaker really a bad guy or could he be kind? Maybe he had something like bipolar. You nod, thinking that the action couldn't do any harm. Jason smiled sweetly and guided you towards an old wooden table. The table was covered in scratches and paint. In the center was a handmade porcelain doll, painted perfectly. Feeling the doll's hair you took note that it felt very real. Soft and perfectly molded. You smile as Jason picks up the doll, holding it out to you.
" This is for you. I made you a doll my dear. Enjoy " You took the doll in your hands and held it close to your chest. Your smile widens and you begin to think that the toymaker may not be so bad after all. Seeing your comforting smile Jason begins to walk across the cracked floor.
" I shall get some tea my dear. Make yourself at home. Take a seat but don't wander " He shook a finger at you, his eyes glowing for a second as he turned and left.
In the distance your eyes rest once more on the door you were once headed. Curiosity got the better of you. You headed Jason's warning but couldn't help but wonder, especially since there was a faint noise coming from the room. Making sure Jason wasn't around you quickly make your way to the room, opening the door slowly. Light streaming into the room.
The room was filled with many dolls. Life sized ones. You reach out and touch a doll's face with you free hand. Wax. These were wax dolls. You smile as the mastery of the dolls, thinking of how long it must have taken Jason to make them. Your smile fades as you hear the noise again. Putting your ear to a dolls chest you hear faint wheezing from the doll. The dolls were alive. You then notice the blood painted on the dresses the dolls were wearing. You take a step back, horrified. Finally remembering Jason's true nature. From behind you hear the shattering of pots and quickly turn around. Jason stood there, a furious look on his face. The tea pots and tea cups shattered. The toymaker's eyes glow brightly and he pins you to the wall, pinning you by your shoulders. His smile becoming wider and his teeth sharper.
" I warned you dear ( Y\N ) didn't I?! Don't make me angry. Or I will fix you up, like these other dolls of mine " Letting you go he turns and grabs a long sharp knife. He beings to lunge at you. You close your eyes, terrified for your life. Nothing happens. When you open them your back in your apartment, still holding the doll tightly. Tears in your eyes. He wasn't going to leave you be. He could have killed you but he sent you back. Why? Did he care? You knew as much as you did and at this point it gave you something to work with. To help you figure out what Jason's real motives were. For now however, it was time to search for a new job.
