You sit at your laptop trying to find another job, your gaze every so often shifting to meet the doll's lifeless eyes. Finding nothing in the listings you finally shut the laptop and go to make a drink. Thoughts of the toymaker once again taking over your mind. You remember what had happened the night before and tears begin to fall once more, mixing into the cup of tea you had made. Even so, something began to stir in you. You felt sorry for Jason. Before trying to hurt you he was nice and kind, even giving you a gift. You wish now that you hadn't entered that old room, maybe he wouldn't have tried to harm you otherwise. Sighing you begin to blame yourself for Jason's actions. Everything was messed up. You decide it's best not to have any contact with the toymaker and go to sit on the sofa to watch show re runs.

As you sip your newly made cup of tea and hear a sort of clattering behind you. Turning, you see that the doll Jason made you had moved from its spot on the counter. Standing slowly you go to inspect the doll, never thinking of doing such a thing before. It had definitely moved, its eyes had also changed color. The once hazel eyes were now emerald green, much like the toymaker's . You look deeper into the doll's eyes and you swear that you can see Jason inside them, looking directly at you. Even as you stared back at him he never looked away. He must have been watching you all this time.

Throwing the doll onto the sofa to avoid breaking it you curse under your breath, knowing that your earlier pledge to have nothing to do with the scarlet haired man was an impossible feat. You sigh and fall back onto the sofa with a thud, once again careful not to break the doll. Around you a music box begins to play, its sweet melody filling the air. Remembering that noise from the previous night you cover your ears tightly, trying your best to block out the sound. Another noise began to resonate around you, a voice.

" Have no other distractions ( Y/N ) My chosen one must be by my side. You will realize one day. You will return to my side. As a reward I won't fix you up. Be loyal and be safe " You shudder at this. Jason was everywhere and there was no escaping. Finally deciding you had enough of the toymaker's ramblings you pick up your purse and head out for a spot of lunch. Seeing the toys Jason made you makes you smile and you remember how kind and considerate he could be. Those thoughts overpower those of hate and violence and you begin to feel something warm inside. Finally leaving the apartment you make sure the door was securely locked. You still were not all that clear on how Jason got in the previous night. The warm and fuzzy feeling lasted the rest of the day and resurfaced every time you thought of Jason's sweet smile.
