3RD PERSON.
A little girl, Maya Matthews was a girly girl. Who loved pink, who loved everything. She had hope for everyone and everything. She was kind.
But, when she was very young, her mother had passed away.
This took a big toll on her. She passed away from being murdered. [A/N: More on her mother's story later in the book.] She couldn't believe it. She thinks her father did it. He says he didn't, she doesn't believe him. Not one bit.
When she heard the news, she could not believe her ears. Her own mother had been murdered. They didn't know the suspect, until now. She was 6 years old, now she's 19, she's in senior year now, they found the murder. they didn't even want her to know until she graduated, so she didn't have to deal with this for the whole year.
She is a very intelligent girl. She has the whole future planned. Her mother's passing, stopped those plans. She was so sad, she got into very bad depression. She couldn't go to school, she was scared to walk the halls. She hated all the sympathy, and pity. She just wanted this to be just a dream.
But, it wasn't. It was reality.
She has grown out of her girly pink stage, she has changed her style very heavily. She wasn't the girl you saw when she was 6 years old. She had to be homeschooled for most of her school year. Until now...
Today is her first day as a senior, seen for the first time in a public school.
She's nervous, yet excited because, she gets to be out in the public, with people again.
