Jackson's POV

I kiss him, to stop him. I knew that lying wasn't going to help anything, but I wasn't ready to tell him yet. He kisses me back, and puts his hands on my waist, pushing me back onto the bed. I can feel his hands tugging on my shirt before he takes it off. I could feel something rising inside of me, but I couldn't tell if it was fear or not. He kisses my neck, his hands wandering to my jeans and I know that I have to do something.

" Wait," I say, pushing him up.

" What?" he asks.

" I have to go," I say. I quickly push him off and put my shirt back on.

" Wait, what's wrong?" he asks, grabbing my arm.

" I have to leave Parker," I say, making him let go of my arm. I run out of the room and downstairs.

" Thank you so much for having me, but I have to go. Family emergency," I say to them. I leave before they say anything else, but I can hear Parker following me. I get outside and run as fast as I can towards home, Parker still behind me.

" Jackson stop!" he says, catching up to me, grabbing my waist.

" I can't do this anymore!" I say, jerking away from him.

" What are you talking about?" I can hear the fear in his voice. I take a deep breath, before coming clean.

" My parents don't know about me being gay. My mom, I should say, my dad died 2 years ago. She doesn't know and I haven't told her yet about any of this." I say. I watch his face fall and then turn to anger.

" Why did you tell me they knew? You just lied back there, saying all of those things about them. Why would you lie to me?" he asks.

" I'm sorry," was all I could manage, before he turns and walks away. I realize that this was my dream. Me trying to call after him, but nothing was coming out of my mouth. I turn and walk the rest of the way home, trying to process what happened. When I get home, I walk in, my mom in the kitchen.

" Hey, honey I thought you were out," she says. I don't look at her so she couldn't see my eyes.

" It got canceled," I say, before going up to my room and laying down on my bed, softly crying myself to sleep.
