Last time on FFMFBF 

''You sure you don't want me to drop you home?'' Emma asks once more as she stops outside shake and shack.

''For the last time I'm sure. I just need to think for a while and plus I want a vanilla shake'' I wink and she just shakes her head laughing.

''Text me when you get home'' She says while I get out the car.

''Ok mom'' She laughs and then drives off. I walk in and order a milkshake and cookie. Once they were done with my order I grabbed it and went outside and sat down on one of the tables there. Ten minutes later I found myself looking at the photo Emma had sent me of Nicholas and I today morning. The way his eyes were plastered on mine in the photo made my heart stop. I had only met the guy yesterday but I just couldn't help myself from thinking about him. I take a sip of my milkshake and put my phone down. I looked at an old couple walking past the restaurant holding hands. It was one of the cutest things I had seen. I hoped to have that kind of love that would last a lifetime.

''Cute aren't they?''

I knew that voice. I turn around and see the man I had been thinking about all day.

''Nicholas?'' I look at him and start to feel my cheeks turning red once again.

''Hello Scarlett''

Now...

''Nicholas? What are you doing here?'' Nicholas takes a seat next to me.

''Didn't your dad tell you? We used always go here after school. I wanted to come and relive some old memories.'' He gave me a sincere smile. ''What about you?''

''I come here after school every day with my friends. Though one had to go to cheer practice today and the other that you saw this morning had to babysit. So I decided to stay behind and just chill for a bit.''

''Would you like me to go?'' He asks.

''No it's fine!'' I smile.

'' I know we have only known each other for a day but you seem a bit off'' He puts his hand on my shoulder and I face him. 

''It's nothing'' I turn away. 

''It's about you wanting to leave right? You have the same look on your face that I had almost twenty years ago'' I face him and he could tell by my face that he was right. 

''How did you do it, leave everything you knew behind? Don't get me wrong I still want to leave this town  but I just don't know how Im going to do it. My parents, my brother, my friends I can't leave them behind. But I know if I stay I will lose my mind'' I sigh heavily and I feel myself holding tears back. I don't know why I all of the sudden had this on my mind and why I just told someone I barely knew. Maybe because he had gone through the same thing Im now dealing with, or maybe it was just easier telling someone I knew wouldn't judge me. 

''Scarlett you can't let all that stop you from chasing your dreams. I know it seems hard now, the though of leaving everything you know and going to a new place sounds terrifying but trust me when I say it could be the best decision you will ever make'' He places his hand on my chin and makes me look him in the eyes. His piercing blue eyes I might add. ''If your friend's and family love you which I am a hundred percent sure they do, they will support your dreams. I know it might take your dad some time to get used to the thought of you going but I know he loves you. I am positive he won't stop you from being happy.'' He gives me a sincere smile and with that I felt my heart flutter. A man I barely knew just made me feel like everything was going to be alright. He had immediately given me a smile on my face that wasn't there a few seconds ago. I start to laugh and give him a hug, he hugs me back and we stay like that for a few moments.
