Trouble with the moon tides Chapter 7

Diana was shocked but the rest of the class kept on talking to each other. Amber stood up straight from her chair and Diana quickly took a grasp of her elbow to pull her back into her seat. But Amber stood standing with a pissed off face. The professor nicely asked for amber to sit down. The professor knew that Dylan and Amber had a bad rep together and that Amber always tried to get into fights with Dylan because Amber was only trying to protect Diana. Yes, this is the only way I could explain this 😓 just know that their relationship was bad. Dylan was so cool I smiled in awe. She wore a ripped denim jacket and ripped black jeans with converse. She had short hair and the tip was blue. She had crazy bands and other types of bracelets to finish the look. Dylan smirked at Amber and Amber was about to loose her shit. Diana couldn't really stop Amber because she was pissed too but all she could do is hide behind a book like a coward 😑. I slowly turned to look at Diana. Her head was on the desk facing me and she looked down. Her expression went from angry to sad. I didn't want to show that I knew her cause I didn't want to blow her cover? Um....is that okay? Dylan unlocked her eye contact with Amber and looked at Diana. I could tell Diana was holding her breath.

Dylan tilted her head to the left and smiled. "Hey babe long time no see huh?" She says. The whole classroom fell to silence and a chill went down Diana's back. Diana slowly placed her book down and looked up with her hair covering up her face. Amber looked at Diana then back and Dylan. I stared at Dylan wondering what type of person she could really be....besides the information Amber gave me. Diana looked at Dylan and gave her a cold stare. The professor broke the tension and told Dylan to go find a seat. Dylan smiled at the professor and walked down to a row up on the top. Professor cleared her throat and drank her water. "Today...class we'll be starting our first lesson of this trimester. You'll all be getting essay's monthly-----" My ears began to block out what's she's saying because I was so focused on Diana. Everything went silent when I looked at her. She seemed so afraid as her head was looking down into her hands. Amber called me out. "Jamie help!" Amber yelled trying to shake Diana and trying to tell her to stop. She was in shock and panic so her powers went crazy. The professor's water bottle was shaking rapidly. I took a sharp look at Dylan for some reason and she looked down at me with an evil smirk. I bit my lip and looked at Diana. I grabbed Diana's wrist and then....at this moment she gasped and awoke from her shock/ trance. She wrapped her arms around me. I patted her back like I didn't know what I was doing. I raised my hand "May we be excused for a sec?" I asked the professor.
The professor stopped writing on the smart board and looked at me with  disappointment. "But your gonna miss your first lesson." She groaned.
"It's an emergency" Amber said with a worried face. The professor looked at Diana seeing that she looked ill.
"Fine but borrow someone's note when you get back...." she says. But she didn't finish what she had to say cause me and Diana were already out the door.
The hallway was narrow and luckily I remembered where the janitors closet is.
We stood close to each other face to face in the dark dusty room. There was a light switch between us and I pulled it quickly cause my face was already red hot from all my blushing. Diana took deep breaths and she started shaking.
I stood in the corner of the room like an idiot. Ugh! Why did Amber have to stay back in class! As if I could sort this out myself!💢 "I.....I'm sorry about all this..." I said in a low voice. Honestly in this situation I didn't know how to react...like..I didn't know all this would actually happen! You know? Anyways back to the story. Diana looked up at me with a sad face and didn't say anything back. I felt like the biggest idiot at this point. "I didn't really know this was gonna happen...I didn't know that my best friend for two years would turn on me like this. It hurts so bad" she says with her voice cracking. She leaned against the cold wall and huddled there.
I wanted to reach out to her and hold her but I just couldn't. I....I couldn't. Diana's phone vibrated and startled me but broke our horrible conversation. "Amber texted me that there's gonna be a full moon tonight. That's also bad" she says sniffling. I didn't know what she was talking about so I just grabbed a box of tissues from some shelf and handed it to her. She took it from me still leaning on the wall. "Cute💕" she smiled. Her phone vibrated again and she texted.
Amber:(Hey how are you feeling? And what are you two doing together all this time 😐 suspicious..)
Diana: We're just...well idk..talking? The atmosphere here is weird.
Amber:Tonight's the full moon🌕 what should we do with the newbie?
Diana: Girls night out at my place? Popcorn and movies? Pizza maybe!
Amber: Anything for my baby😚 besides you need it..you look like you were about to pass out today. Wanna skip English and go straight to p.e? So you don't have to see...you know who?
Diana: Totally. I'll catch you later🙈💋
Amber: K bye
